the dreads are so wicked looking and the way they run is awesome

    - mirages whip things are so sick and his laugh is contagious
    - that 458 is menacing
    - sideswipe has a badass stealth force mode
    - the music is perfect

    I LOVE THAT SCENE.

Yea, that scene is a text-book example of why Michael Bay was chosen to direct these films; it's very gripping. I was blown away by that scene. Also, Steve Jablonsky's Battle really accentuates its intensity.

I loved Mirage's "Got ya! Ha ha,ha ha" That was my favorite part of the scene. Shame it was Mirage's final line :(

the only thing that would make that scene more awesome
is if it was a little Longer and if Optimus was in it :D

    Epicness if that Happened :thumb

It was very impressive - in a way, it was like the Forest Fight of DOTM. The track "Battle" used was very gripping. I was in awe when the Dreads were flipping cars in the air, and Sideswipe and Bumblebee flipped through the air in Stealth Mode to dodge them.

The track "Battle" was also fitting, because it has a "final battle" kind of feeling to it. The track made it sound like this truly is the last of the trilogy, the last of Bay's films. One of the last times we see Autobots and Decepticons battle like this. This is the beginning of the end.

One of the things I like more about the movies then I do about other franchises, the fight scenes usually are far more badass (thanks to a much bigger budget) then battles in other series.

I was literally on the edge of my seat with my mouth hanging open the entire time. It's one of my favorite parts of the entire trilogy.

I agree with everyone in this thread. I thought it was amayzing. It had the perfect amount of tension and it was just really well done. And I assume with Highway chase we're including the mexican standoff scene right? The whole sequence just had everything I wanted transformers to be doing. And also it was just pure autobots vs decepticons. 3 decepticons vs 3-4 autibots. And they were the sole focus. I like these movies but if they had more scenes like this then they would be truely epic!

All of it! I really love that scene for the exact same reasons you do. The Dreads were down-right epic. Period.

I believe that the main reasons these films don't feature the robots as much as most people would like them to be featured are limited budget and time. Animating these bots is costly in regard to both money and rendering time.

Even though I don't have evidence, I blame Ferrari for that. In the comic, children's books, and novel, he had a Stealth Mode.

My assumption is that they didn't want their car portrayed as a 'war machine', much like Porsche. It's also why I reckon Dino didn't get any guns. It's just a theory but.

Anywho, this scene was spectacular in 3D with surround sound. My favourite scene of the trilogy.
