How could anyone dislike this?

I definitely don't dislike that. In fact, I LOVE that scene. One of the best parts of the Burton-Batman films.

But I also have to   at the giant, 10 foot tall Bat-signal reflectors that he has built on top of his mansion.

Party-Goer #1: "Man, that Batman guy sure is mysterious. I wonder who he really is."
Bruce Wayne: "Yeah."
Party-Goer #2: "Bruce, great party. Thanks for inviting us all to Wayne Manor. But I've got a quick question for you."
Bruce Wayne: "Shoot."
Party-Goer #2: "Why do you have those giant light-reflecting devices on the various corners of the mansion? And why do they have the bat-signal on them? It's almost as if they were constructed to reflect the bat-signal in the sky right down into your house, to inform you of when Batman is needed or something."
Party-Goer #1: "Are you Batman or something?"
Bruce Wayne: "Don't worry about it." *shifty eyes*

Don't they have Adam West in their talent pool? Wow, there's a lot of negative things I can say about Family Guy, but I never pegged them as opportunity wasters...

 

In regards to West and Batman, I remember on the Simpsons and Family Guy times of when he is fantasizing about Catwoman, creeping the hell out of everyone around him.

Then there was that time when Mayor West bathed in Hazardous Waste, hoping to gain superpowers...

Oh God, that sounded like a line from Family Guy.

 

honestly i suspect the thought of using adam west never crossed their minds... until after they recorded it.
