A lot of reviews I've read and watched said this guy looked smashed and kinda like a midget. And I admit when I watched the reviews it definitely looked like that. But I caved in and bought the guy if not just for the awesome vehicle mode. After taking him out and transforming him, he does not look like that at all really. I don't know if I maybe did something differently when I transformed him, but it doesn't look as bad as I saw. Anyone else agree with me or am I just crazy?

Sorry for the crappy pictures, I don't know how to use my new digital camera all that well yet.. They don't really give him justice to my claims, but I swear to you in person he looks at least somewhat different. I feel like his crotch/waist/chest gives off some optical illusion when filmed or photographed..

I forgot to mention this is my first Barricade figure. I missed out on past releases of him.

 

I may pick him up just so I can replace my movie 1 Barricade that has a mod done to him that died out (battery died for his light) and his paint rubbed off his sides.

 

I **LOVE** Barricade. I don't have a Movie 1/ROTF Deluxe or Legends class anymore, but I love the HA, which I consider the alpha and omega of movie Barricades. However, the DOTM one is totally sweet, and was a must get for me. The mech tech weapon is also so goddamn bad that it's good. I can't bring myself to give away the garden claw.

 

I like Barricade, but in the end, I decided I didn't really want or need another figure of him.

I've passed on all DOTM deluxes so far.

 

i like him a lot and am considering buying him!

the only thing im hesitant about is how everyones saying the hips are pretty wonky and make him a little....difficult

i definitely like the looks of him though!

 

It's not as bad as people make it out to be. The only thing I think needs work is spacing between the hip and the torso so the parts don't bang up against each other. It's almost like the HA figure in regards to his articulation, which is what really drew me to the figure to begin with.

 

Human Alliance Barricade is all I need. All others fall short!!!

Love my DOTM Barricade, much better figure than the Movie 1 version.

 

I'm not really a fan, personally. He's really my only regret from the DOTM line so far, for these reasons:

1. Stumpy
2. His head looks huge and out of place
3. Can't hold his Mechtech weapon properly in bot mode
4. Mine's got a misaligned headlight (screwed in sideways)
5. What's with those hips, anyway?

I don't know, I suppose he's better than the original, but that's not saying much.

 

At least in my area, DOTM looks to be pretty popular. My local Target is already almost sold out of DOTM Deluxes. See below pic.

 

I don't like how people say that a single figure is the epitome of perfection in a character, i.e. HA Barricade and Leader Starscream. I have both Deluxe Barricade and Deluxe Starscream and they are both excellent figures! Barricade's also my favorite Movie 1 character so I just had to get this figure. The DOTM deluxe Barricade is also leagues better than his Movie 1 Deluxe counterpart. The MechTech gun is kinda useless, though. I just love this figure.

 

I'm pretty fond of the new Barricade too. The only other one I ever had was the original 2007 release and this one is easily a great improvement. Never went for the Human Alliance one, simply because I don't collect that scale. I only wish he had a better MechTech weapon. Would've preferred something that replicated the flail weapon his HA version had.

 

He appears to be a big improvement over the original mold - he now has proper hands and a head that can rotate. I may get this guy later, but for now I'm done with DotM.
