I'll be quite forthcoming. I do find appearances important, at least as far as fitness goes. now, the backstory. my girlfriend's about 5'2, and was about 115 when I met her. very outdoorsy, hiker, kayaker, and jogger. so she's like solid, pretty strong. but now 4 years later, she's at least 130-135 and it's all gone to her belly. I mean it's like she has a potbelly, and it's not cute. but the weird thing is, it only seems to show when she wears certain things. we had mentioned a while ago that we'd always let each other know if we were getting fat, so I brought it up. she's gone to the gym at least twice a week for the past two years, and she started running early in the morning because that is supposed to be the best at burning off fat. the main problem, I think, is that she's never been good at controlling her appetite. she needs to eat like every three hours or she gets hungry. and now that she's doing this extra running, she eats as much as me. the problem is, I have a super high metabolism and only lift weights to maintain muscle tone. we're both vegans, so it's not like we eat junk food. she's also been on the pill, which I know causes weight gain, but she's been on it almost since we got together, so I have no idea what's going on. any of you guys have any ideas/suggestions? I kinda feel like an asshole because she started bawling, even though she wasn't mad at me, she just doesn't know what to do about the weight.
