This is my first head cast after loads of studying and practice I feel I got it down. I did it as part of a custom I am working on right now. I'm hoping to get feedback from one person who I sent one. I also did the post and they work great for my custom. I'll be doing hands soon from the same figure. Pain in the butt getting one of the pins out.

Let me know what you all think.

It was one pin on one of the hands. It just didn't want to move at all. The other popped out nice. I finally found a punch to take out the other.

As soon as I get a good mold, metal rod and good castings I may offer some. I know they're a pain to cast and hard to come by.

I may after I get my custom done and make a few. Right now I just want to make sure I'm doing these as good as I can. I also cast a Classics hound head just to have something else to cast in the mold. I'm thinking of converting it to a swindle head for g1 and classics figures.

    Thanks for the feedback.

Here is the head on a modified cast ball joint. Both are light but seem to be pretty strong. After a paint job they should be perfect for my project:

I think the cast looks good, hard to tell with white on white, but looks like you got it down.

I am digging that modified cast ball joint, looks professional, good work.

PLEASE let me know when you are casting hands, I have been searching for a set of hands for 3 solid months now. I would be ecstatic with one set, but would purchase many in order to make it worth your while, and know several people here on the boards who would as well. Cheers!

I am trying to get a good mold configuration on the hands now. It's a real pain and costing me quite a bit trying to get this right. Fingers are figured out right for part of the hand but the 3 fingers that are connected won't cast properly in two mold configurations.

Edit: I read the whole thread and saw your answer to a similar question. Still contact me if you start selling them.

Just got a cast of the head from fishdirt at a very good price and although ive never baught casts before the quality is brilliant the small amount of flash on the casting can be pulled straight off with your fingers leaving no damage and the head is very solid best of all is the fact a balljoint is provided making the head perfect for an alt trailbreaker custom i higly recommend buying any castings from him

*raises hand* I would like to add my vote to getting a cast of this head for Trailbreaker and the several copies of the hands
The modified balljoint looks fantastic, BTW and the mold is gorgeous!

    Thanks.

The cast does need to be sanded and this is my sticking point on whether to sell it or not.

The hands are still being worked on. I did get one successful cast on all parts for one hand and several fingers for the other. I used the ball joint as the connecting point for the hand but now I am kind of wondering if I should just make it a block so it can be customized to each unique use.
