Hey guys I would like to know if Alternity is going to be the new binaltech? Are they going to make more Alternity?

Yes it is. As far as more toys, I suppose that would depend on sales and if I were to go off all the riff raff I've read on the forums.... that's not going to happen. People seem to generally be unhappy about the cost vs. size while others seem to just be out of the whole BT/ALT thing altogether. But then pre-release and post release is another matter when it comes to fan chatter.

Supposed to at least. The thing I don't like is that they are no longer 1:24 scale. That is what really appealed to me with the alts

It's a neat Idea an all but I will still pass on these just like I did Alts.

If they aren't 1/24 scale what size are they now?

They are 1:32. The 1:24 appealed because that was the normal size of a bigger toy car. Another thing that turns me off is that they are all metal and the price. If there was a US plastic version I would be a little happier. My BTs are sealed and I play with the alts. Lastly for me they are all nissans. Now if they come out with a Dodge vechile I'll buy it most likely, and if they do the Challenger then I might buy one of each characther.

1:32??? I was under the impression that they would be Alternator sized. I just assumed they would be by looking at the pictures. :(
Oh well, guess i won't be getting any at that price.

It's been stated countless times they were going to be smaller. Where were you? :)

I was super-stoked about this line when information on it first started surfacing, and I think Convoy is absolutley brilliant, but at the price for the size, I'm thinking they're going to be a big pass for me, unless I come across one at discount.

As a fan of the GTR I'll pick up Convoy, but I don't know about shelling out for Megs.

It's not the new BT it's a new line called Alternity. Gesh why do people always try and shoehorn things into other lines. It really bugs me. IF it doesn't say Binaltech on the side of the box, it's NOT Binaltech. It's a new line with some similarities. I think they are just capitalizing off the success of the realistic alt modes of the movies deluxes but taking it to the next level.

I might get the silver optimus one, he looks really sweet. I'd just want it as a random stand alone character, not as optimus though.

i dig em but I don't see them as the new BT line more like the new THS but with car modes. I see these only being made in a small number with a few special editions and that's it no more.

At the moment there's nothing to suggest that Alternity will have the longevity of Binaltech IMHO. If the two cars were from two different manufacturers I would be more optimistic, Alternity following a route similar to that of Binaltech. But with both cars being Nissans, this seems more like another short-lived line like the Nike endorsed Sports Label.

Still, there's a few more Nissans to be done, how about Starscream as a Micra?
