After the fantastic Bumblebee this is just an ugly mess. In both modes. Easy pass.

 

That is by far the ugliest sports car I have ever seen, and to top things off thats the ugliest Starscream I have ever seen. WTF Takara

his head looks like a bugs head, like the car mode though.

 

Like I said before, it is odd that they tried so hard and succeeded so well in making a car turn into a robot shaped like Starscream... and then they colored it as if it was a new character. Why go homage on shape but not color? Especially when the shape is such an amazing success?

And what is up with that head sculpt? But even that wonky thing would look better if the top half of the bug eyes were painted to match the face and the crest was painted to match the helmet.

I will be repainting for sure. But the overall design is too awesome to pass up.

 

Easy pass as I'm not into Alternity.

 

Hm. I like all the other Alternity figures so far. They still feel right... even Samurai Megatron.

But I just can't get into this one. The whole design aesthetic feels different, closer to Bayformers, even. It doesn't really say Seeker to me (though it does say "Tracks" a little bit). Where it should have been sleek and elegant, it feels funny looking and kibble-burdened. As a Hasbro $10-15 Deluxe, it would have been a maybe. As a $50-$70 Alternity... big pass.

Hey, remember that thing about you affecting a patronizing, passive-aggressive demeanour? You still need to work on that.

Looks awesome, might just be my first Alternity buy.

 

I actually find this to be darn cool, but like most Alternity I feel that I'm getting too little for so much money.

Yeah, I'm not getting the hate for the car at ALL.

 

It looks ok, although the car mode (the Matsuoka) is weird looking like a shell fish.. (like Depthcharge)
anyway... it looks ok in robot mode ... from front view... but once looking at the back; with that front hood/windshield and back hatch... oops... looks extremely unpleasant... Pass.

 

Nah, you just implied broadly that they're superficial if they do.  

But whatever... I'm a smug, self-righteous elitist myself, so I can only complain so much.

When I saw some initial images of the car mode, I was TOTALLY into it. It looked like a sexy car. Then when I saw some better images, I liked it less. The overall flow and form are nice, but all the superfluous "organic" flourishes put me off. It feels overdesigned, like a car pimped by HR Giger.

seriously this is a fail and the flight mode feels tacked onto me , as if they were trying to satisfy fans who feel the seeker should always be jets and for me failing miserably.
