So I have seen how the Alternity line has grown on me, with the recent releases of Cliffjumper and Bumblebee. Now, the figure that has caught most of my attention and the one figure that I really feel inclined to pick up is the Optimus Prime esque Nissan GT-R Convoy Vibrant Red. Now I do no there are other versions but damnit, I want my red Convoy! So since pretty much nobody online has the toy in stock, I was wondering if someone has heard anything about a reissue of the figure any soon? I really feel inclined to buy this as I mentioned before, but really can't afford paying a fortune.
Red one is fetching premium even in Japan. TakTom's been good with re-release lately with MP Grimlock and Mickey TF so who knows? Doesn't look like it's not happening right now, though. I don't have the red, either, but am very happy with the silver and the black
I got my first Alternity TF this morning ( Bumblebee ) and now I've seen the quality in person wouldn't mind getting some of the others so a rerelease of the red Convoy would be most welcome from me as well as I'd prefer G1 colored versions of him and Megatron.
In the same boat here. They are literally impossible to find, and when you do find one its well upwards of $100. I want one, but I am not spending that kind of cash for what is essentially a pretty deluxe. :/
I have the silver version, which is awesome, but I would not mind picking up the red if it was reissued.
The red one is awesome. I have all 3, and it's my favorite in car mode. The red is really eye catching. I bought him right when he came out. Allspark's Byplan Red Alternity Convoy Gallery Randy
The line seems to be doing pretty good so I wouldn't be surprised if Prime saw a re release down the road.
He should be re-released. The Red Alternity Convoy is something that everyone should own. I love mine. There are a couple on eBay -- one here in the UK and another in Taiwan.
Starscream and Skywarp are coming and then probably a repaint thundercracker. If Red Convoy gets reissued it probably won't be soon unless they add it to the list of items that are supposed to be reissued by Hasbro China for the rest of Asia.
I just wish Alternity was available in the states for less than $50 a pop... also if there's a store in CO that carries 'em I'd prefer not to pay shipping (especially since I like the box in pristine condition)
Hasbro doesn't have the same agreement TakaraTomy has with the various car makers, so you'll probably never see them in the US outside of a import collectible store. Randy
