I'm seeing some threads about the Alternity line here and there and I'm wondering... should I be collecting these?
    What's your opinion?
(Keep in mind I'm a completist by nature and will probably collect all the repaints if I take the plunge)

Convoy is fantastic, Megatron is almost as fantastic.

That's what I hear... Bbee on the other hand looks kinda iffy... I might wait to see what comes out after him before I make a decision.

I love them. You'll probably see someone coming in and complain about the scale, but I personally love the two moulds so far. Not 100% sure about Bumblebee and Cliffjumper, but I think I'll like Bumblebee :)
They are intricate (but not over the top drive you nuts intricate), which I enjoy.

As for the completion, they can be a bit expensive because they are imports, but I don't think the line itself will go that far, sadly. I really hope I'm wrong here though!

With Binaltech but a beloved memory, Alternity is now my #1.

So far, I like the line. I have Convoy in red and black, and Megatron in silver, and I think they're all great. They have some balance issues, being somewhat back heavy, but they look really great.

Going from the pictures released so far, however, I'm not sure Bumblebee will be that great. He looks far too wide.

I only have the red Convoy and I love it! I want to get Megatron one day. I love the scale, die cast, rubber wheels, weight...Imagine if G1 was 2009 instead of 1984. That's how I see it. I have him posed with my Titanium War Within Prime. They look great together.

I'd love too see hasbro import these to the states.
    They'd be good store exclusives.
    Or convention exclusives

Prime and Megatron are both great; you can't go wrong with any color scheme. I can't comment on Bumblebee and Cliffjumper but I'm probably going to skip those.

They'd go over like lead balloons (not the giant ones that float, either) if they were released over here. I'm surprised the line has been as popular as it has been over here, considering how cheap the average American (Canadian and British fans also fall under this umbrella... British not so much for this example, as the Hasbro ones would probably be more expensive for them) fan is.

Figuring Hasbro has the ability to sell figures for around half-ish the cost TakaraTomy can sell them for, $25 deluxes won't sell. My estimate completely disregards that they just sold similarly-sized-but-maybe-a-little-heavier Titaniums for $20 as exclusives at Target (where the exclusives are generally more fairly priced relative to regular figures)... We're looking at almost $30-35 for deluxe-class figures. They'd need to look damn good (better than the imports) to get most fans to go for that.

The biggest problem I have with Convoy is that if you raise his arms to face forward...they barely pass his chest. So he could never reach something directly in front of him, hahaha.

Other than that, both figs have fantasticly unique transformations. Megatron is particular is very poseable. Convoy is close...but is more difficult to pose.

    Alternity = Win

I've been very happy with the figs I've got so far, and unlike most I am very excited for BB and CJ. I think that mold looks great. It's a fantastic throw back to the days when BB and CJ looked kinda stumpy.

Bumble Bee and Cliffjumper are the first ones I'm interested in.

I love them. Alternity Megatron is what got me into Alternators/Alternity line. They're more detailed molds, to me, than the Alternators stuff. I never get repaints of molds that aren't turned into separate characters (I don't buy 'Nightwatch' Prime repaints, for example), but I got the red and silver Prime molds because I loved the look of both and couldn't settle on just one. They're deluxe-sized, and yeah Prime's arms a bit stubby and the transformation of his legs can be a bit annoying to get right at first, but so far I've loved what I've seen.

Bumblebee and Cliffjumper I'm not so thrilled about, I admit, but I'm hoping new molds will come out that'll be just as impressive as the first two have been for me.

You know what, BB and CJ might actually be a pefect fit for my BTs and MPs.
Think about it, their robot modes would actually be a good minibot size compared to these other two lines...

Very great line. Both Convoy and Megatron are awesome in both vehicle and robot mode. Bumblebee looks a bit weird for now, but I'm sure once I have it in my hand, it will be awesome too!
