You do know that repaints are much less expensive to make than new molds do don't you?

A new Wildrider thats a repaint doesn't mean that Takara could just have easily made a new mold for him instead.

 

You're right (I just took another gander at the image) Still doesn't change my mind about it. The flames just gotta go or get replaced with racing stripes as someone else mentioned.

 

The GT-R has an interior (and possibly steering) so it has one up over the movie Bumblebee.

 

I'd imagine the flames are there as an answer to Shattered Glass Rodimus for the Japanese.

 

All these people saying they hate the flames is giving me movie flashbacks.

Anyways, I think Shattered Glass Hot Rod looks cooler.

 

I'm sold on the alternity convoy, but I too wish it was another character instead of convoy.

 

I'm buying Wildrider. I don't care how much he costs.

 

I agree, I too am getting the wildrider. I have all the henkei so far, even the crystal convoy and I have preordered the exclusive jets...so its a must!

dont know about anyone else here but i am getting a very strong dark/chrystal hot rodimus bvibe when it comes to that decepticon wildrider repaint

maybe i got the 2 mixed up but wasnt there a chrystal reissue of the g1 hot rod figure where the figure was sporting a translucent black , smoke grey and blood red colorscheme

because thats what thefigure reminds me of and no i aint talking about the japanese energon dark/nemesis rhodimus repaint either

Very nice. I'll have to attempt to get both of these funds permitting. Alternity Convoy looks pretty cool to me and it'll be a nice switch from all the 'Prime/Convoy must be a truck!' stuff. Wildrider looks pretty good IMPO and I'll be trying to get him as I simply can't see this coming state side at all to be honest.

 

I knew Hot Rod would make a good Wildrider repaint.   Can't wait for him and Alternity Convoy.

 

I doubt anyone will read this since it's so far down the thread but I'm pretty sure you can remove the flames if you down like them. As long as the black is molded plastic and not paint the flames should come off with a little 99% rubbing alcohol and a lot of elbow grease.

I personally like this mold for Wildrider I always thought the face was to sullen for a hot-headed fun-lovin' autobot.

I second the notion for repaints of mirage, sideswipe, and prowl into the other car stunts, unless they do a jazz then he can take the place of the prowl mold

Oh and Convoy=awsome IMO I just hope we get him annouced for a state-side release before I panic and have to buy the japanese version of him for 4x what he's worth

 

Wildrider? Nah! Nemesis Rodimus for me, all they need now a clear one to complete the set. (Well G1 Hot Rod was released in Black and Clear). . .
