Oh, sweet! Thanks for the review!

I originally planned on getting Bumblebee, but Cliffjumper looks so much nicer, imo. LOVE the paint! And I'm glad he looks much better and less chunky in motion, too!

    tell me about it!

i came from 'PASS' to clicking 'Buy it now' for both of them just after this review!

but then, i already saw CLIFF at a store here last week and cliffjumpers paintjob made me from 'PASS' to 'Maybe next year'. that 'cherry' paintjob is more SOLID than SOLID!

thanks a lot mr. peaugh for bringing me back into the alternity line! :)

Really, the best Cliffjumper ever. And a bargain compared to the aftermarket price of the Classics CJ upgrade kit!

Great review - can't believe how much better these look in motion. Will probably get Cliffjumper in the new year, just can't afford/justify it right now :/

The BB/CJ mold is almost like the Alternator/BT mold for the two that we never got.

Except the Alterentiy versions are not only much more faithful to the G1 transformation scheme, but they also have DOUBLE PISTOLS! (Granted, in CJ's case, he needs a BFG, but two small pistols are better than no weapons at all!)

Personaly, I want CJ more than BB, simply because then I could use him as my Classics CJ (I already have a BB, not that crazy about the Classics toy, but it's a nice figure) in addition to being the rediculously-overpowered Alterenity CJ.

And last but certainly not least: the retooled head. When was the last time we got a proper CJ that had a retooled head? (Not including Animated Cliffjumper, since all he got was a retooled activator and a larger chin)

Cliffjumper looks really nice with his shiny red paint, but I can't justify the price for him, maybe if he ever goes on sale I'll pick him up.

2 pistols is far better than the no pistols the classics version had.

Any chance of a pictorial review?

I'm going to try to do pictorial reviews soonish for all of the new stuff that came in last week. It's not a matter of desire, it's a matter of finding the TIME.

This is such a sweet figure, I got mine yesterday. :)

Do wish the instructions on these Alternity would be more clear. I was wondering for the longest time what I was doing wrong when I couldn't get the engine cover to tab into his crotch, only to find out that the small flap behind CJ's head could tab into a small hole, which extended his waist some more.
Maybe they did write it down in words, but seems to me it's that one special feature that NEEDS to have a picture!

Oh, and anyone else have the problem his doors sit very loosely in robot mode? You can kind of keep them closed if you place the shoulders against them, but as soon as you rotate those the doors kinda start hanging loosely. Since I was pulling and twisting with the figure to get the waist right, I'm not too sure if this was always the case with my figure or if I have accdentally broken something...

Overall really cool figure, much cooler than the fat pictures make you believe!

I still can't get over his big chest issue, but the metallic red does a lot for the figure, as well as the unique leg transformation. :)

Great review, Vangelus! :thumb  :thumb  And just wondering, have you made an Alternity Prime review?

Awesome review, I really do like this mold a lot.

I think that's just how they are, you didn't break anything.

That's the thing I forgot to cover in vehicle mode, on mine the doors also don't stay tightly closed either. D:
