I don't have any BT or Alternators. What your opinion on the BT and Alternators line? I'm watching youtube reviews on them and they look big and cheap to me but their car mode looks badass. Tracks looks like he have GO-BOTS legs to me. I have the Alternity Prime and Megatron and I love them.

I'm not one to play with my TFs, so I consider my BT collection a perfect fit for me. I love the look and feel of their diecast and see them as a great compliment to my MPs.
    Here's a video of them:

I have three Alternators (Shockwave, Ricochet, and Skids).

I can tell you right now that if you like to regularly transform/pose/play with your figures these guys may not be for you. I rarely touch them because they are made of stuff akin to (if not the same as >_>) model car plastic (in that it is thin and does not stand up to any sort of abuse).

They make gorgeous display pieces, and with characters like Shockwave they can really fill those gaps in classics etc. etc. So if they are mostly going to live on a shelf then totally go for it cause they LOOK awesome.

I do not own any Binaltech but from what I have heard they can almost be more brittle BECAUSE of the metal (it adds weight to already thin joints). Though again, I have never actually messed with one.

All that said, I love the three I have ^_^!

I never play with any of my figures I just display them. They seem like they would be nice as displays. Mirage looks cool in both mode.

I have alternators and binaltech, and there a awesome line if you have the cash get binaltech, but if your a little short on cash alternators are just as good and cheaper
the diecast makes binaltech feel like model cars, which make it feel real nice

    They really are great.
If you don't mind the higher price, I'd go for the BTs.
Especially if you don't play with them...

They are admirable from the design aspect, but have little play value...which is what everyone else said. If you like scale model licensed vehicles and Transformers, you get both in one package.
That having been said, after messing with most of them, most of them are more trouble to me than they are worth. I'm considering selling them off, except for maybe one or two of them.

If I had to recommend any I'd say Smoke Screen, Skids, Tracks, Mirage and Jazz if you can find them. Saying that the only one's I'd avoid are Ravage (jaguar) and Prime

Cobblers. The plastic is no worse than any other TF on sale.

Personally, I'd say to get Alternators. No paint chipping and no diecast balance problems.

I only have two BTs myself, Grimlock and Convoy. As display pieces, they're absolutely fantastic. They're so detailed, it's insane. Transforming them is a nightmare though, and to be honest, Convoy looks terrible in profile. Still, I love my two BTs very much and have often had to resist the temptation to complete the line.

If you have ever looked at any G1 AutoCar and thought 'that is a good disguise, until someone tries to actually get in', Alternators/Binaltech are for you!

I think that the line is where TF have been trying to get to for many years, and only now have the technology to actually do it.

Some of them are difficult to transform, and I wouldnt give them to a child to play with, but as a display piece or something to mess with, they are great.
