so I was never happy with Alt Deadend. I felt Hastak just combined the proper alt mode of Breakdown, with the paint scheme of wildrider, the head of sunstreaker, and named it Deadend. It looked cool, but just didn't work for me, especially after I finally got Alt Sunstreaker.
Like so many others, I was also disappointed that Hastak onl y gave us one stunticon, and decided to do something about it. I didn't like the Non-car G1 adaptations like Grimlock, so I put him to better use :D

I give you my take on: ALTERNATOR WILDRIDER

I wanted to swap Wheeljack's wheels too but the back ones would be a pain to swap. I think it needs to be a bit more sporty but not sure exactly what is missing.

Let me know what you think.

first off, welcome to the boards, second... that's freakin sweet! you are very talented man. I take it that is hound's head? Did you modify it in any way? Also, what did you use to get the side spindles/cones on the two sides of his head, and how do you get his head to fit when in vehicle mode? Just totally awesome man, keep 'em coming!

    Thanks for the kind responses:)

Zuffyprime, your comment reminded me I didn't get my post count fixed LOL. I only had about 100 or so, but I've been a regular reader of the board since I joined in Oct 2003. I actually have lots of bashing projects I've done but the first problem is that most of them aren't done:)  Wildrider here still needs Decepticon symbols and a licence plate at the minimum. I also never had a digital camera until m parents gave me a sweet one for x-mas, wohoo!!!

Wildrider's head started out as sideswipe. I did LOTS of dremelling and sanding :)
The "ears" are from a gundam model. I spent about a month finding the right thing for them, till I found those on a peice of gundam armor in my friend's junk box.

Did you dye the windows or did you use transparent paint?

That's pretty sweet. I'd never seen the original Wildrider until I looked him up on tfu.info after checking out this post. I didn't realize that he had spikes on his head from your pics. I thought it looked like a evil cowboy hat. Why isn't there an evil-cowboy-hat-wearing Transformer yet? That would be pretty cool, I think! After all, we've got a police-hat- and fireman-hat-wearing Transformer or two... We could have a whole Village People Transformers set!

Very nice! How did you get the windows?

I have a Wildrider I would like to show, but how do I post pics from my hard drive? I dont see that option. Do they need to be hosted or something?

The head is awesome and the red tinted windows and lights are amazing. I wish Hasbro and Takara did that with Dead End. :(

    They did. http://www.tfu.info/2004/Decepticon/AltDeadEnd/deadend.htm

That reminds me, I really have to get my Alt Wildrider labeled so I can finally post some images. I have one more repaint I gotta post still too but he REALLY requires his labels (and is a secret - cause it'll either go over well or like a lead balloon).

Thanks to all for your complements.
Believe it or not, the windows & lights were colored with a red Sharpie. It looks best on the inside of the windows, but I even used it on the outside for wildrider and it looks fine. Sometimes multiple applications are required to get rid of the streaking, but all in all it looks good. I use this technique all the time.

A sharpie? Well I'll be damned. I know what I'll be doing this weekend.

And to avoid rubbing, a coat of glosscote.

I was wondering on the smudging too. Are any precautions done to ensure that doesnt happen?
