Ladies and gents...Streetwise has returned! Patrolling the metropolitan DC area in a nondescript Fairfax County Police color scheme, this ex-Protectobot is ready to serve and protect whenever Decepticon forces appear.

Almost a year putting this off...I finally attacked this kitbash/repaint and finished it up. The results are...par. I'm not happy about the paintjob - it was kind of a last-ditch effort to match the coloring on the decals - but...in general...he's growing on me. The only thing that makes me really proud of this repaint job is that it is NOT the Japanese black/white Prowl repaint that's becoming common. (NOT that there's anything wrong with those! I actually want one myself, because, ya know...that's Prowl.) He's...definitive in his own police scheme, if you ask me.

By the way: This is the reason I haven't been posting all summer. This and the next two projects I'm going to post (over the next few days.) ...and work...and the OTHER work...this summer turned out to be exhausting.

You said this is a Protectobot? Any chance to see the other Protectobots?

I put "ex-Protectobot" because I'm lazy. :D  School's coming up, so I don't think you'll see the other Protectobots soon. ...however, I'll keep the idea in mind...

You consider that par??? I think it looks excellent! What did you use for the lightbar if I may ask. It looks pretty nifty.

I kitbashed the lightbar from two sheets of styrene, some windows from an airliner and one thin strip of styrene (the "braces" between the blue lights.)

    Fairfax pd uhoh!

    nice one!
Fairfax home of the 8 lane blues! Now it just needs a 1/24 scale strip mall to patrol!
1984; is that a reference to the current state of the union?

My friend, that is a beautiful paintjob. You would get three thumbs up if I had three hands.

A big, genuine "thanks" to everyone for all the kind words. I appreciate them. :D

Ya know...if that Cybertron motorcycle ever gets over here to the States, I bet it'd make a good Alternators Groove (from the Protectobot team)...but I admit that my kitbashing skills aren't at a high enough level to retrofit an SUV or van onto a car chassis yet, so I'll wait to see if Hasbro releases anything that could be Hot Spot or First Aid...

Everything is a decal. Actually, that's the reason the red-and-white "Fairfax County Police" decals are bothering me - I had to print them on white decal paper. Because I was trying to cut corners, I tried to color-match Smokescreen's molded blue to a blue on the computer and print out the red-and-white decals with a blue perimeter. It turned out BAD and I had to end up repainting the car because of that. Grrr...

I give it an 8 out of 10. Mainly due to the fact that the lines are painted crooked.

Sweet work Ops!! By the way couldn't you use Tow-line for First-aid? Just a suggestion.
