Soundwave never got an Alternator version so I made him into one. I used a Skids for the base and stripped the flames with acetone. He was then painted in a dark blue gloss coat. All inner detailes were done with flat blacks, chainmail silvers, and bad moon yellow. The head is a modded Tracks. All weaponry was made using scrap from my Sigma 6 figures.

Nice bot mode, for certain. The yellow is also nice and bright.

I like the weapons a lot. I'm also digging what you've done with that Tracks head

I recommend using 99% rubbing alcohol to get the paint off the car instead of acetone though. I've done 2 of these already (I'm actually making 3 more right now to sell) and rubbing alcohol works pretty good and helps maintain the shiney smooth finish of the factory blue plastic

I go this route too. It's a lot more gentle on the plastic as Lucs pointed out.

    Great work man! :thumb

I love Soundwave, but I wanted to be different. :)

Awesomeness! I like the use of the Cybertron SW for him plus Lazerbeak is always a+ in my book.

My original idea was to have the chest(hood open) and be able to place G1 cassettes inside. I opted out as this was going to cause some tech complications with transformation.

Obviously, I agree with any incarnation of Soundwave as a Scion being "cool". :D

I think that since the Scion directly markets to the hip hop crowd, it is marketed towards personal customization, and that massive sound systems are found in many, that the Scion makes (and made, for me :) ) a good choice of the available Alternators molds we got.
