Even though I do not collect alternators anymore....I love that reapaint. The head is beautiful too. Did you swipe it from a soundwave, or did you recast it?

Yes, Andy is right. The head, weapons, and Laserbeak are all from a Cybertron Soundwave. I've altered the head slightly (the "ears" are sanded to a more straight apprearance, not sticking out like the Cyb version) and I've painted the guns of course. I also painted the red "speakers" on Laserbeak (oooh I dropped a hint there) with the same "clearcoat" red (mixed by myself) that i applied to Soundblaster.

Sweet Custom! I never would've imagined that mold fitting the character so well.

Er, BTW, is the mis-transformation intentional?

I do have an idea for your gallery when you post it up. For vehicle mode you could have Rumble and Frenzy (or KOs, since they're easy to find) sitting in the seats as they're listening to Laserbeak pound out the tunes (I assume that's what you meant for Laserbeak in your hint).

Mistransformation? Unless you mean the "shin guards," I'm not sure as to what you're referring to. I did transform him with the unadvertised step for making his waist straight, though it may or may not look like it in the photos.

And if I had those toys here, I'd consider doing it. However, my G1 toys are mostly at my parents' house and TFs are hard to find here anyways . . . :rolleyes2

Nope, I wasn't referring to the shin guards, it was the 'floppy torso' look (instead of sticking straight out). If it's just the photos being off, then, yeah, no prob.

Didn't know. Just a suggestion. I wouldn't even have a Rumble and Frenzy myself anymore if it weren't for the white ebay KOs that I'm going to repaint.

what floppy torso? ya mean how the front end of the car is angled down?? cause its supposed to be that way, I don't know what you mean about sticking straight out...

when this baby is done, the notion of the photo-pose that has been suggested will be realised to be inferior to what has actually been done :ev:

Again, thanks for the praise guys! I really appreciate everyone's comments!

Yeah, I was scratching my head a bit to a "mistransformation," especially since I always do the "unadvertised" step with the waist. I was originally thinking it was where i was a bit inconsistent with the bumper/shin guards, where I found I prefer the former transformation for those. :)  And KO cassettes . . . I'd love to have a set or 3 :D

Well, I'm really shooting for a good week of photos this week (pun intended :p ). I'm hoping I'll get some good shots! Thanks for the props, Andy (and everyone else!)!!

I meant sticking straight out like the G1 Skids figure did with his front-end torso. I thought the angled down thing was mistransformed official photos.

I just took some quickie photos of my alt skids with the torso sticking straight (maybe horizontally-angled is better?), but I'll just give a link to the album, since a custom this good doesn't deserve to be sullied by having quick pics of an unmodified alt in the same thread.

    http://smg.photobucket.com/albums/v12/FirPa/alt%20skids/

If theat's the wrong way to have alt Skids, I don't want to be right.

And if I had a set of the KOs to spare I'd definitely be sending 'em your way for a photo shoot with your bad boy here, SQ.

Dude! That kicks ass! I never liked the Skidz mould that much, but you make it look pretty slick. Nice job man.

Hehe, thanks for the sentiment on the KO cassettes! I miss my G1 collection quite a bit, but I don't have room for it here. :(

I checked out your photos, and I like the transform you used. However, one of the things I like about the Skids mold transform is the fact that it's a tad different from many of the other Alts. Without running the risk of sounding hypocritical (since I oddly made painstaking efforts to adhere to SB's G1 color scheme quite a bit), I'm not necessarily a G1 conformist anyways, especially with the Alternators/Binaltech line. "G1ness" aside, while I do like the transform both ways, [at least for this custom] it seems to work better angled downward a bit. One of the drawbacks of the Scion mold is that the front end can tend to make the bot look too bulky, which for Soundblaster would not look good overall. I do appreciate the suggestion, and if you like your Skids transformed like that then in my mind it's "right." [In some things] Vareity is the spice of life! :D

I think it fits the character. I'd buy something similar.
