    I love your work dude!

But I do think he needs more back damage.

Paint job looks nice and it is a neat idea. Only complaint is that ther seems to be no "flow" to the damage. The arms and legs show all this wear but the vehicle mode only really shows it on the front corner and hood. I guess the damage you painted on just seems to be randomly placed to me.
You did a fantastic weathering job on the arms and legs. I really like they way they turned out.

It looks a bit like he took a flamethrower to the face. I'm always a bit wary of "excessive" battle damage on figures. There's a point where it just looks like the bot shouldn't have gotten back up, and that's too much. Subtle scratches, gouges, mud around the feet and ankles, a little subtlety can go a long way towards weathering and aging something.

    I like this one too...

I do agree, I know you said the damage was a little on the light side, but it seems like its not "enough" on this one....

maybe its because of the other two you showed were so mangled, it makes this one look like its lacking some damage, probably because you've got a lot more area to cover on Skids versus the Subaru Bros.

would you ever try window damage? so many shots to the body, but the windows and wind shield are all intact. I think some cracked window would look cool

    Thanks guys !

Its tough to find a "balance" when doing one of these, how much is too much ?, or is it enough ?, or would certain damage even apply to a transformer ?
So for now I'm trying to do some with light damage and some with heavier damage.
The ones with heavier damage will sport scorched glass, shot tires, exposed wiring etc.
The ones with lighter damage won't show as much damage in vehicle mode and in bot mode will be more "scarred" than damaged.
I always try to keep in mind that the figure will be displayed in bot mode.

    .....next up for a beating.....Alt. Hound.....suggestions ?

    Thanks again guys !
Keep checking back for more......or check the Customs Gallery submissions(sticky) for the latest. (Jazz - heavy damage !)

Go with a heavy brown wash around his feet area with some drybrushed globs of brown to simulate mud. It'll be appropriate, with his feet doing double duty as his rear bumper, so kicked up mud will be appropriate. Non-fatal damage is liable to be inflicted on the limbs, so drybrush silver onto his arms and legs with some small arms gouges to simulate scratches and paint wear, either from general walking around or putting his fist through decepticon faces. Hits on his shins and chest will be expected, light scorching around the hood area from glancing laser fire. I'd avoid putting anything on his head, as a headshot would likely be fatal rather than damaging. Perhaps a door blown off or in half, as they're large targets from the side in alt mode, and are still noncritical as far as his bot mode functionality.

Also, a battle damaged Prowl would just kick all kinds of ass.

You are very good at this battle damage stuff. I agree with someone about trying to get the cracked windshield look. As far as next one, how about a Con? Bots outnumber Cons in the Alt line yet they look like they are all getting the crap beaten out of them.

Hound and prowl are 2 of my faves so I wanna see them go through hell. Prowl is simple. Have his hood slided open and his internal ciruits hangin out. Have his arm drapped over as to try n hold his "guts" in and give him red eyes and smoke effect from the mouth like in tf movie. Some cotton wool makes a good smoke effect but I'm sure there is a better way to do it. As for hound have some of his face plate removed like megs back handed him with his fusion cannon and show his inner skull or wateva they have. Maybe even an eye hangin out lol and have a hand removed with wires pokin out. Defenetly smash the headlights in or crumple the front as if he hit somethin really hard.
