I have been missing in action since around June of 2006. That was when I finished my last great custom - Alternators Armada Megatron.

Regretfully...life, boredom, and new ventures took me out of the kitbashing game. Since then I have watched others make some incredibly creative kitbashes...and have always meant to return...but I just couldn't regain that "spark" of creativity.

I've had a number of ideas, and I think I have tossed about a dozen or so at my good friend Superquad, but still, none of them captured my interest.

Finally, something has spurred me back into customs.

Now remember, I've been out of the game for almost a year now, and I just wanted to take on a nice, simple project that'll get me back into shape!

Behold, my newest project...so far...well, its a hood. Oh yeah...and two doors.

I'm working with the Alternators Rumble mold, and just so you all know...he's not too bad to take apart. He's got some really long pins, but most of those hammered out nice and easy. PM me if you need any help dissecting him.

    Here's the pics:

Man, I've been wondering where you've gone to. :lol

Is that blue an actual color offered on the Civic or something you just saw fit? Seems really light in color.

Can't wait to see this finished. :rock

Well...sitting here with the pieces, they really aren't that light...

Its probably a combination of the horrible lighting I have, along with the flash on the camera.

Honda does offer the 2007 Honda Civic Si in a blue color called Fiji Blue Pearl...but I think the color I'm using is a lot lighter...more like the blue offered on the '99 Civic Si which i think was called Electron Blue.

Yeah, the color I'm using is called Krylon Fusion - Patriotic Blue. It's light, but not as light as in the pics...

I already had my first screw up...hahaha, the paint didn't take to a spot on the one shoulder piece...so i had to remove the paint, and start over again....oh, the joys of kitbashing!

I really need to get into the whole Krylon Fusion thing. It just looks factory fresh.

I've looked for Krylon Fusion in hot or electric pink for my ALT Acree I've been wanting to do but haven't found any Krylon Fusions in that color.

For pink, you are on your own my friend.

For some reason, Krylon is pretty random with their Fusion colors. You got your basic colors: red, yellow, white, black, blue, orange, green, navy, and I think a violet...and then for some odd reson they branch off to odd colors like the tan, the nickel color, and other seemingly random colors.

Don't get me wrong, Nickel Shimmer is probably the BEST spray paint I've ever used...and probably the easiest...but a simple gray would have been nice.

Based on a friends recommendation, this project is going to venture into another brand of paints for the robot mode parts, so I'll let you guys know how that goes...

Well, I'd assume that any of the painted parts used on toys are sprayed on with a similar type of paint, if not Kyron Fusion itself (though I'd imagine the paint would actually be of a slightly cheaper quality to cut back on costs, but who [outside of the production line] knows?)

Have you even gotten the extra S2000 yet for that project?

This is the exact color paint I used on my Alpha Trion custom last year, and I have to say its almost impossible to photograph it in the color that it actually is. That's going to be a nice color.. about 2 or 3 shades lighter than the dark blue of the frenzy toy, but still a nice rich blue. excellent.

I think I used that paint on my old Kup kitbash.

Can't wait to see him. I use testors but might make the jump to krylon. It there really that much of a difference?

Looking good. I've seen this color in the stores and it does have a great shade to it.

Still, I've pretty much abandoned the idea of making my own Frenzy since I'm fairly certain that Hasbro won't let the mold die with just one figure. But that doesn't mean that I don't have a spare sitting around just in case I'm wrong.

Really? Awesome! I've never seen that color in stores but at least I know it exists now.

I still need to track down a spare D'Charge for the Arcee I want to make though. :(

Sorry I steered you in the wrong direction!

I too, have never ever seen pink Fusion in stores...but I've seen just about every other color...

Wonder where one would go to get some of these mystical other colors that are available...hahaha

I'm thinking online from them directly. Not sure though. I see a Fairy Tale Pink in the Kid's Play Section of Krylon Fusion.

Can't buy from them directly though. :(

The Michaels by my house has Princess Pink, they used to have that mystical color too (chameleon or "color change" I think its called) but they have since clearanced it, and like an idiot I didn't get any.

The chameleon color is what TFMaster used on his Alt Cosmos, and I think he used Princess Pink on that Arcee Alt he did too.

    EDIT:
Now that you mentioned it Razerwire, I do believe the name of it is "Fairy Tale Pink"
I still have the can at work...I'll check on it Monday.
