Hmmm... I wonder if Hasbro will start making that a staple in the ALT line...

    But that nose!!! That nose!!!:lol

Also wondering if the arms are going to be like that on the instructions or if they're going to be like Silverstreak and Smokescreen...

And I noticed that the rear doesn't have Subaru or WRX painted... I'm sure they'll be on there for the final version though... I can't see Subaru being happy with just the front grill badge...

Not sure how I like the license plates like that but I suppose it is more realistic. Maybe they'll give each one its own state now?

that New Jersey plate is kinda funny. Ricochet looks kinda cool, better than Rollbar anyway. The more I see of him in robot mode, the more I warm up to him.

Hmmmm.....I may end up getting this one since I have the "reissue" version of him. I just wish they could have made a driver figure that turned into his gun, just so it tied in with the reissue figure. But, these are just the cost effective guys so we can get the few cool new figures. (But I think I'd have to agree with the general populace that Rollbar really should have been Trailbreaker - then he'd sell like mad!)

    Why not Jazz mold?

Im just curious why they use an already overused mold, when they should be consistant with continuity at least, and make hime in the meister mold?

Didn't they fix the nose? I think Big bad Toy Store had a pic with the nose painted.

I've been wondering that myself. My suspicion is that at the cost of making each of these new molds, they want to really get as much out of them as possible. The Subaru was the first mold, so it makes sense that we are seeing more repaints of it so far, but it may well be that we see quite a few repaints of the others as well.

It might also be that the other car companies only license the appearance for a certain model year produced within a certain date range. Mazda may care if Hasbro uses an old body design in a new toy, whereas Subaru may not.

I am highly suspicious of this. It looks like someone did a kitbash of this. But that's just me.

I don't quite understand why people say the WRX is an overused mold... For the ALTs, he's only been used twice... Smokescreen and Silverstreak... The third being Ricochet... Compared to the Corvette mold, the Jeep mold, and the Viper mold the WRX mold is now at the same number of those three previous molds mentioned... So am I missing something as far as what "overused" is defined as or are we including the BT line as well???

Cuz if we are, then I can understand with the inclusion of Smokescreen GT, but even including that, there's only been three for the WRX mold unless you're counting the different numbered/repainted versions...

So I guess the question is, what exactly qualifies a mold as "overused" because in my mind the WRX isn't overused... And if it does qualify as being overused, then why hasn't anyone mentioned that the Corvette, Jeep, and Viper molds are overused???

I've been wondering that too, Razer. It makes no sense to consider the BT uses along with the Alts. I mean... sure, same molds, but different toylines for different countries.

Hasbro and Takara don't and can't take into account that some of us fans decide to buy everything from BOTH companies when they decide what to release. They're only concerned about their own market. And as far as Hasbro's North American market this is only the THIRD use of the Imprezza. That's hardly "overused" in my opinion.
