I was wondering why Swerve is so popular compared to Tracks.

They both are the same vehicle and the only differences i can see are the paint job and maybe the head (i'm just guessing on the head)

Other than hard to find, is there any other reason why Swerve is so much more sought after/better?

Swerve is more rare. That's it AFAIK, unless some folks just like red.

yep, head is completely different. it's a really nice sculpt too. I personally like swerve more. for me, he's easier to transform than tracks for some reason (aside from heads, their molds are exactly the same), and yeah, the red is really nice.

I don't mind the blue version of tracks either. I like it :)

    Red is definitely sweet

well at the time it came out, Binaltech was still in full force, and swerve was the first america exclusive repaint, and he had a new head and the japanese tracks hood sticker to boot.

id say thats why he is so popular, now he is so expensive because of poor distribution. But i jumped on him back in the day for the exclusivity of being an american release.

wasnt decepticharge before him? I think swerve's number is 15, and decepticharge's is 14.

I think Tracks is better personally. It's just that Tracks is widely available whereas Swerve is rare. Supply and demand really. Swerve is nice, but not really worth the money except for collector's purposes. Tracks is alround the better toy if you ask me.

I never knew Swerve's headmold was different. Looking at him on TFU, they really nailed the G1 homage, didn't they?

Mine's still sitting MISB in storage. Just haven't gotten around to busting him open, but I will sooner or later.

yeah but at the time i think they were still posting preorders for binaltech decepticharge which eventually became a wildrider preorder which eventually became nothing lol

so it seemed like the only one not planned to be released in die cast binaltech

DC has a lower number, but he actually came in a later assortment. I remember buying 2 Swerves before Prowl and DC even showed up. Also remember, Tracks had a lower number than Dead End, but Dead End was blue box phase and Tracks was the first red box.
