and the strange trend continues. Wave 9 of Star Wars Saga figures have already shown up in the UK with absolutely zero sightings in the US, and now we have Ravage showing up there as well.

Some thoughts: paint = gorgeous, I could wait for a Binaltech version except they don't exist anymore, ho hum.

The bonnet doesn't open, instead you get this,

No matter how nice this toy is (that's nice with a capital NII! in case you needed to be told) I will always be disappointed that the bonnet doesn't open properly.
The comedy value of having a vicious cat head where a mechanic would stick his own would have been off the scale...

Boot does open but is extremely stiff, doors and missile launchers both pop off easily. All four legs pull out from the body for freedom of movement (gonna shoot some "PO'ed kiity" pics in a bit) and it's just generally an all round quality package.

The joy of being able to get this first from a high street store was fantastic and as a final note I only stopped in there by chance as I was getting my own mane trimmed.

This is a BIG suprise although I wouldn't put this past Hasbro UK. Remember they were the ones responsible for releasing micromaster superion this year before the USA and the rep I spoke to last year was mulling about an alternator jaguar being next in line for the UK . BTW Toyfair UK is comming soon . Wonder if there will be anymore suprises in store for us there?

 

Ugh, how rude! JK. Can we please get it here in the US already. I want to finish my alt collection while I still have an abundance of extra cash. Box art is kind of lame though. Oh well, still spiffy.

 

Nooooooooooooooo!!!! I need my Alts.!!! To be fair, I guess it was about time the U.K. got something before the U.S. of A., but Alts?!? No way, man! Let 'em have some other stuff first, like Classics or something.

I thought the problem with Micromaster Superion wasn't that Hasbro U.K. released it early, but rather that the U.S. retailer who had an exclusive on them dragged it's heels on distributing them.(?)

Massive kudos to Hasbro for the first Alt I've actually had fun with!  

edit: One last note, he has a James Bond style rear number plate that rotates around to allow the boot to close whilst the tails out.

Regular Argos, Camden Town Argos to be exact, they only had one mind so a certain mod will have to look elsewhere.
