Here is the gallery for my Alternators Hound. I wanted to do something different than just a G1 recycle. A couple of years ago, I worked at a state park in the maintence dept., campground register, and the campground interim minister. I used the TN state seal on the doors (because that's what the park uses on all of their vehicle doors) and just played with the deco. Hound sports a decal set, an all blue light bar (the ranger vehicles at my park were all blue), a gun taken from an SD Gundam figure, and a brush guard kitbash from an old M.A.S.K vehicle (from the Firecracker pickup I believe). I am very happy with my mod, and I think this puts a neat spin on Alternators Hound! Enjoy!

Sweet repaint! I actually like the shiny, sparkly green paint on the original, but this definitely works.

Well the paint was untouched. The things I created for this deco of Hound were the light bar, the brush guard and the label set (and you'll notice the extra gun that Hound wrestled away from a SD Gundam :) ; I'm always looking for more things for my Alts )

Acutually, believe it or not, Hound has been one of the customs that has received the fewest amount of attention of my customs (the Meister decal mod is probably the #1 contender for least amount of work put into). Not saying that I didn't put a considerable amount of work into him (the brush guard took a while to make), but the decal set wasn't too taxing on me (like Wheeljack's label set for instance, which seemingly took forever!).

I do take a lot of care with my customs though and I thank you for acknowledging that. Much appreciated! :thumbs2:

Exactly what kind of paper did you use for those labels? I love the metalic look to them.

Go to Staples, Office Max, or any speciality office supply store and just look for foil mailing labels. It works really well, however the labels are precut, so design is a bit limited in terms of being able to print them. I have found myself printing in the gutter areas (spaces between labels) just to have enough length.

hahaha, that is slick. Nice work, for some reason he reminds me of a Jurasic Park vehicle.

I really like this. It gives Hound a modern believable job, since he's been replaced by the Hummer in the army.

You should give him a park ranger hat also! :)  Otherwise it's pretty cool.

They used a remotely similar looking vehicle in that movie, though I think Hound is too shy to sport the wild deco that the JP jeep has :lol

He seems happy preventing forest fires and such now :D

Thank you for your positive feedback! I like grounding my Alt customs at least with some element in reality to make them a bit more believable. The seal on the doors is from the state park in TN that I used to actually work at. Though their vehicles looked nothing like my Hound mod, it grounds him in reality a bit and also give him a personal touch for myself.

When I first got Hound (a looong time back), I had thought about getting the reprolabels set, but decided to make my own for a few reasons (one of which being that I wanted to make him something other than a military jeep, since I feel that [and other "G1" things] has been done to death). I also think that the park ranger motif suits Hound's personality more anyways :)

That would be awesome if you could make him a little park ranger hat, and a badge on his chest. That would rock.
