Here's a quickie I made out of boredom. Inspired heavily by Razerwire's Alt. Razerwire, and Rod's Alt. Shattered Glass Smokescreen, I threw this little dude together. Nothing too serious. Some waterslide decals from eBay, Alt Prowls hands (painted) courtesy of Squall48028, a MP Seeker head (thanks A_E Productions), swords from Drift, a modified gun barrel, and a stripped Alternators Ricochet.
Beautiful work, Eric! The swords fit in well, considering they're originally made for the deluxe Drift, but they look great in the hands of an Alt! It's good to see more Alternators customs also! The paint apps and decals look great, love the details, and that license plate is awesome, man!
Eric, can we get a close-up of that head? I really like this (as you already know), and I think everything you did here is excellent. I'm really digging these photos from you as well. The Prowl hands work really nicely. Did you have to modify the socket or anything for them? The neon green rims look slick as well. Was there anything you did to this that you hadn't done before or a whole lot? How was your experience with the waterslide labels?
man i miss Alt customs, everyone is obsessing over CHUG at the moment or movie lines where as some of the absolutely amazing customs over the years have been of these toys and this is one of em! so simple yet looks so cool! looks amazing
Thanks B. Thanks much!!....I too love a good Alt Custom when they come along....but that's expected with toys lines....new stuff comes out, folks wanna see customs of the new stuff. I totally understand that, but the Alt line will always have a special place with me. Here yah go: As you can see from the close ups here, all I did was turn the face sideways. But when looking at it from a normal perspective: It looks totally fine (IMO) Thanks for the comps man. As for the hands, they just popped right into the existing sockets....no modding needed. Only thing I did differently from this one was start with the car mode (Alt Mode) first, then go onto the Bot mode. As for the waterslide decals, they were easy to do, but took time and patience. I found it to be tedious work, but in the end worth every bit of the fussing that went into placing them
*insert "I'm with NP" smiley here* That head really needs to go, IMO. The rest of it...I wouldn't want to meet in a dark alleyway anytime soon. Looks mean. Very mean. The green rims just scream evil. Sweet car mode, and the sword...doesn't even look like you took it from Drift, it fits in so well... ....its just that head...
