So, I wasn't sure if I should start a new thread on this or not, but I wanted to show what I have done to this guy since to last time I posted.

I have seen tons of these mustangs driving around my hometown, and more often than not they have some pretty awesome rims, so I couldn't look at Downshift's alt mode without thinking about how it would look with some slammed rims....

so I went out, found a cheap toy with the wheels I wanted (,in this case a RC car) and upon opening the package IMMEDIATELY cut the wheels off.... I never even played with it! What am I? Some kind of monster?

Any who, I used the balljoints from some crappy fig that I hated glued onto the rims to attach them to the car, so they no longer free roll. To me, this is a very good thing. They are poseable, so I could make them look like they were rolling in stopmotion, but in real life its like the brakes are on. No more worries about it rolling off the shelf! :)

The love died!? That is too bad, my friend! I consider Alternators to be the best TFs ever, even though I have classics, movie, and alternity figs in my collection. I am a sucker for the high level of detail, and the more complicated the transformation, the better IMO. But that is just me.

A tutorial, you say? well the only problem is that I don't have another one of these to do it with... but I could take pictures and explain what I did a little better...

The green is two different colors: Krylon fusion for plastics Safety green as a basecoat, then heavily covered with Testors one coat lacquers Lime Ice. Great paints to work with.

You just about nailed it! It was actually the stingray concept (think ROTF Sideswipe) but it was definately Jada! And as I recall, the camaro rims are identical to these, so yeah. Good eye, my friend!

For many, Classics have captured the interest Alternators and Binal Tech once held as THE updates to the favorite characters of old. There are still quite a few mainstays like myself as well as a whole slew of fans who are just now getting into 'em!

I really like your work here! I prefer to see Mustangs without the smaller tires/big rims, but that's more of a personal preference, as muscle cars tend to not sport them often. Regardless, your work is boss /bad pun

LOL, Thanks man. I personally am not a huge fan of the slammed look, but seeing so many 'Stangs with big wheels made me want to do this. Otherwise, I would agree. Thanks for the compliment/bad pun!:lol

I understand the appeal of the classics line, but Licensed cars and fully detailed interiors make alternators the line for me! Besides, with all these peeps selling off their alts, it just means more customs for me!:D
