Here's an old one I did a while ago. It was going to be my first re-shell. I just got around to taking some new pics, so I figured I'd share.

It was supposed to be a 55 Chevy Wrecker re-shell, but I made some mistakes along the way, but I was able to save what I had left, and come up with this.

He's a combination of Hound, B. Ravage, a 55 Chevy model kit, some Cybertron parts and K.O. Constructicon parts.

    Alternators Decepticon Wrecker:

very cool. The weathered look is applied very well, reminds me of all the car parts in my grandpa's backyard. And E-Mirage's headsculpt is one of my favorites

WICKED ! Thats about the most convincing Alt. mode I've seen, talk about "robots in disguise" ! ! !
I never would'a guessed it was a TF just by looking @ Alt. mode.
Love the Chevy stepside box ! dually rearend ! primer !, rust ! diamond plating ! & modded front fenders ! This is a serious off-roader !
Another awesome Decepticon character for the Alt. series from Plowking ! ! ! :rock

That's really cool. I love the idea that not all Alts should have have a factory gloss paint job. ^_^

    Thanks everybody!

After the reshell failed, I figured I'd try the beat up old look, I actuall used a pic of an old Jeep pickup truck I found in a magazine for the "details".....I'm glad you all like it :D

That is so awesome. If this is what your mistakes look like then your successes must blow every other kitbash away.

I can't really tell how the C Thundercracker weapon/crane piece moves, from front to back, on the arm or how the arms connect to the shoulders (i can see one of the pieces on the one arm, but not on the other, and can't seem to see where they would connect to).

Thats some nice detail with a place for all the parts in both modes. I especially like the chain in the hand. Excellent job

Thanks for the compliment, I really appreciate it :D ....but I dont think I blow every other kitbash away....there are others here that make my work look "o.k." at best.

The "boom" does move up and down, and rotates side to side in truck mode.

    C. T-cracker's weapon attaches via one of C. T-crackers arm joints that is plastic welded to the back of the leg near the foot/ankle joint in bot mode (for truck mode), the arms "sandwich or hide" the joint in truck mode so its not visable.
If you look at the behind shot (in bot mode) you can see it right above that joint.

In bot mode it attaches to the same type of joint plastic welded to the rear of Wreckers right arm (also visable in truck mode at the rear of the truck)

The arms have to come off for transformation (yep, partsformer) they are stored in the bed of the truck in that given mode.

This was one of my many mistakes.

I thought the arms would fit the same way the originals did, but because of the added elbow joint from B. Ravage, it made them "too long" to fit under the hood

    Again, thanks!!
