While I've never thought any of the BT molds worked for Cliffjumper or Bumblebee, you've done great work! I really like the look of him :)  Any chance of seeing a closeup of the embossed faction symbol?

Nice paintjob. Love the body modifications and exhaust.

The wheels look a little bit ridiculous though. They'd be like 20" in real life, and that's a bit too large for a Subaru.

    Keep up the good work!

btw is there any chance you can get a slighty larger back tire for cliffy? or sligthly make the back tires slide out a tad more.

I really like what you did here. The oversized tires really pays homage to the original toy. All the mods are done very well and the paint apps are perfect.

....how the hell didja do that Autobot insignia?

that's clay's embossed insignia. goes well with bright red. not so much with bland colours.

Hmm...i technically could but i cant be bothered lol. They are stuck in place with super glue and epoxy so it will be a bit of a hassle to change them.

I'll piggy-back on Wikkid's post here to say that my knee-jerk reaction to the wheels are that they are a bit too big, but after what Wikkid posted here, I can see how they end up working. That being said, I still think they are just a bit too large. Admittedly, it can be hard to find alternate wheels for an Alt custom, especially the look you're going for here.

That minor negative critique aside, I have to say that I REALLY am impressed with this guy. Everything else is just so well done, especially this being one of your first customs (and an ambitious one at that I might add). EXCELLENT work all around. The head looks great, the paint apps (like Wikkid said) are just slick, the mods all around are great [you might want to play around with the custom spoiler on your next piece. Getting the spoiler to be able to suspend itself while in alt mode being split in the center can be difficult!] . . . all around well-executed.

I think you can also say that this piece has been quite the learning experience for ya! I hope you're able to take the many things you did well and continue to polish those in the future as well as take the couple of minor drawbacks and just improve on em. :)

Now, go back and shoot more photos!  Keep 'em comin' man! :thumb

Very Cool! It's perfect but just that the wheels are a litte to big!

Although, Awesome I was excited about you doing this!

    I hate you.

Paint looks a little thick on some of the bumpers, that's my only crit. That and I hate you.

    Awesome :)

    Dont hate me...im nice! :p

Thats funny you should mention the paint on the bumpers, cos infact on the front bumper the paint is too thin and i can see the primer under it lol.

Thank you for your very nice comment. You are right this was a big learning experience for me but it wasn't one of my first customs as i have done many repaints in the past but this was one of my first major reconstruction/heavy body modification customs. I feel more confident now in those fields as i have always felt i was lacking in that skill department but maybe im good enough to make my next project an alt VW Bumblebee? But i still need to think that one through a little more i think hehe.

I agree with everyone that the wheels are technically too big, but believe me when i say there was absolutely NOTHING else i could find around here so i had to make them fit some how. The area where i live isn't really very useful for finding spares or other toys i can take parts off of, oh how i wish i live din the US, just for conviniance factor alone, those guys have everything. And shopping online gets too expensive for me as most stuff comes from the US and shipping costs are a major pain in the tail pipe.

I would also take some more pics but thanks to this board's new layout it wont let me upload anymore than 10 pics, so id have to take some down in order to upload more which sort of defeats the purpose of taking more pics in my eyes.

Anyway thanks again mate! And to everyone else, hopefully my next custom will be even better and as widely enjoyed.

That head came out nice. You did a great job cleaning up the part where you had to split the front bumper. Can't even tell that you needed to do that. Paint looks great.

Awesome, paint is perfect as usual, head re-sculpt looks flawless.
The wheels & tires are telling me, unfortunately, a trip in a slow straight line might be possible.
I know how you feel, shipping a small item you need from the states can cost you $15.00 - even though it cost $1.34 to ship ...
