Hasbro should make an alternators cartoon.
I think it would own.
They can't. As memory serves, they have the rights to make toys of the cars used for the Alt line, but not the rights to use them in another form of media.
It'll never happen
1) Alternators is for the most part a dead/limited line
2) It's a collector's oriented line
The fact is Hasbro only makes cartoons for the main line TF toys, to advertise the main line toys. Since Alts are on the back burner and don't really appeal to kids. There's no need/reason for a cartoon
It'd so own other cartoons. Probably be the best Transformers cartoon ever.
It would be too much like G1, same characters, just with different Alternate modes.
Thats an idea just redo G1 with the Alt mode. Same story with new and updated animation.
I'd love a comic if it were possible.
Bad idea. The lameness of the stories would stand out horribly.
The stories were decent for the most part its they just had WAY too many plot holes...gotta love Megatron's Masterplan, the most absurd plot ever!
i seem to remember this also being stated somewhere. but then how do comics get away depicting non-TF real life vehicles so far?
I've wondered this myself... IDW use a Beetle for Bumblebee, yet VW have said they want nothing to do with TF.
An Alt. cartoon wouldn't ever work. A comic maybe but not a cartoon.
Alternators cartoon would suck hard, it'd be like the 'super-articulated spychanger show' or SASS for short.
yeah, i think the chances of having alt cartoon is close to none. But as many have said, it would hav been a cool idea to remake the g1 classic toons with alts with CGI or Cell-Shaded presentation . That way, everything will be scaled in proportionaly.
Depends on what you mean by remake.
If you mean, same basic G1 premise retold but with deeper characterizations of the G1 cast and new storylines on the level of BW then YES! YES! YES! That would be my dream TF series come true!
If you mean simply putting CGI to old G1 scripts then no thank you, I don't see the point.
They said it at a Botcon.
None of those vehicles are for licensed products, and its not worth the car manufacturer's time sending out cease and desists, and there's probably some legal allowance for artists to do 'interpretations' of those cars, without using the car's real names or company logo.
As for Alt fiction itself, probably also has to do with image, the car companies have a reputation to maintain, and some are okay with their cars being made into TF toys, but perhaps don't want them to be used in fiction that may reflect badly upon the company. Thus some companies didn't want anything to do with Alternators/Binaltech at all (such as Porsche).
I really doubt they would make a cartoon. They should do a comic book....
That's just as unlikely.
Well, there's Kissplay
sorry pal, a couple of years too late for that to happen
that wouldn't be necesarily a bad thing, it would be better than the previous one for sure (with better figs too), and all the purists would finally shut up about that subject.
Separate names with a comma.
