Hey guys, After finding Alternators Camshaft at Wal*Mart Wednesday night, I was asked to give some feedback for Alternators Camshaft. If you're looking for a thought-provoking, in-depth review, you'll probably want to go somewhere else. I have posted a few quick snapshots of Alt Camshaft below. Vehicle mode: If you have Binaltech Prowl blue, there is really nothing new here other than the paint scheme (and the right hand/left hand steering wheel of course!). If you've only got an Alt Prowl to compare/contrast to, there are a few more notable differences. One of the major differences that I really like is the black in place of the baby blue. The baby blue on Alt Prowl doesn't bug me as much as it has some others, but I'd think most of us would agree that even a darker gray would have been cooler. Camshaft delievers in this department. The addition of chrome to the wheels is a subtle, but major plus as well (though I know a "police car" maybe wouldn't have chrome wheels, but anways . . .). Also, the license plate reads "CAMSHFT," which is consistent with the name on the box, contrary to the plans to make this repaint "Bluestreak." Despite some speculation, the gray has the subtle sparkle effect similar to Tracks. But here we go with my major gripe. The plastic used to mold [mine] has all KINDS of swirls and spots in it. Depending on the angle, it looks like someone 1:24 scale took a hammer to him. Robot mode: I REALLY like this color scheme. Pretty much reminscent of the Diaclone blue Bluestreak . . . except the chevron shoulder paint apps are on the back of the arms. One of my favorite things about this repaint is the head. I always felt the Prowl head looked like a cheap knockoff. Camshaft delievers here. The blue blight stick is pretty cool as well. I think the Autobot symbol on the leg is a bit weird, but that's not a huge issue for me. Also, the left door is hard to stay on. The door and the plastic swirls may just be on my mold, but I've only seen this one. Well, I hope my feedback gives you guys just a little more insight into this mold! alt mode: robot mode: Enjoy!
