It's funny, I feel like Alternity did that. yet somehow despite them seeming to me like they should be the best transformers ever, they somehow never satisfied as much as I thought they should (beside the obvious issue with a lack of molds). Bigger would have helped as well, but I don't know that that was the issue.

Sad to think that if Alternity had been in 1/24 scale our BT shelves would have had Megatron, Seekers and Bumblebee/Cliffjumper added to them. Sooo close.

I must remember to get some Alternity figures. Some of the moulds look like a real step forward, others still kind of look off... IMO they were taking tentative steps in that direction but in the last ten years the tech has really raced ahead on the MP side and I'd love to see them give it another shot.

Yep. So close and such an annoyance that with all the oversized KO's on the market, no one ever upscaled those four moulds. Would've bought them all.

    Thanks! :thumb

Totally doable if they ditch the realistic interior/working doors and hood gimmicks. It was definitely neat to see but resulted in a lot of compromises. I'd be willing to make that sacrifice if it meant a resurrection of the line.

In regards to Alternity, I never really got into the aesthetic. I'm kind of glad they were in a different scale since I don't think they fit well with BinAlts stylistically.

Agreed. They had a different aesthetic and (IMO) would not have fit in with BT/Alts. I also miss the end of BT/Alt line, even if it had some design compromises that haven't aged well.

I still curse Alternity for not letting me have my 1:24 Skyline.

Here's some Mirage love! Was fortunate to receive Marcelo Matere's autograph on the shoulder this past Saturday.

That would've been really nice, I'll take any of them R32-34, not so much the R35. The older legendary Skylines from 1969 would've been cool too, but then the demographic for old cars barring the Fairlady Z bros, Lancia would be too narrow for TT to develop tooling and character designs to sell successfully, I feel...

I still want a MIB BT-17 Black Convoy someday. I love my sealed one, but it's the only MIB one I need to complete my MIB set of Binaltechs. It's just something I can't shell out for right now.

@SuperDD what all can you tell us about those customs? Did you make them or did you have them commissioned? If so, by whom?

I bought most of the customs off the Junkion Exchange. The Ironhide and Ratchet I believe were the only two I bought off of Ebay.

Gotcha. Any chance you remember the artists who created each of them. Looks like you have two Ultra Magnus customs, most likely created by vector, for example.

Vector did the Ultra Magnus in the first pic with the sealed Alts. I believe the other Magnus was done by someone else after Vector passed away. If I remember right, I think it was for the Radicons contest TFW had in honor of Vector.

So I've been eyeballing these things in reviews & am curious about picking one up. My only issue is that they'd probably stick out like a sore thumb next to more modern toys. Is that true at all?

Awesome. Yeah, and I seem to recall that particular Magnus custom.

The Cliffjumper looks like the work of @sodawilly if I'm not mistaken. Not sure on the Prowl, Ironhide, and Ratchet as there have been quite a few made like that by various people.

It's always nice to see custom Alt/BT lovin' :D
