Hey guys, I needed to take a break from Alt customs just a bit. I finished the ads tonight and I repainted the billboard toy itself (I opted for the 'weathered' look; pics coming soon!) Thought I would share with you all:

    Alternators/Binaltech Billboard

I wanted to have a little fun with the ads . . . :tfevil The "Destron Oil" ad is the one I finished tonight (I think most of you saw the VW ad already).

    Enjoy!

Well, I am a huge fan of the designs that Takara has done of Bumblebee and Cliffjumper, and I am quite upset still at VW's "we don't want to be part of war toys" repsonse. I just thought I would exercise some sarcasim in response to VW, plus have some fun with toys while I am at it. :D

Got it now. The Volkswagen ad is awfully clever. :)  I like it.

Also, the weathering on the Destron Oil sign looks very nice. Near-realistic. I'm very impressed! Great work.

Hehe, I think most of us wanted the Alt/BT Bumblebee that Takara first designed. I thought I'd create a tongue-in-cheek design that expressed that for us. :D

Thanks for the compliments on the paint apps! It is my first attempt at weathering. :)  Again, thank you for the kind comments!

About the only reason I decided to do anything with MASK is because they are almost to scale with the Alt/BT line (slightly larger than 1:24). The Boulder Hill is just great for the line. :ev:

Cool! I have a MASK figure on display with my Alts, but I'd forgotten about that billboard toy! What a perfect accessory for the Alternators. I gotta go find mine now...

Nice work, and I love the ads! :D

Thanks for the comments! I really appreciate everyone's feedback!

Hehe, nice to know I'm not alone (which one do you have displayed?) I still have a handfull of MASK toys that go nicely with my Alts/BTs. The staple for them is the Boulder Hill playset. It just works really well with the Alts/BTs. I want to eventually find a second one to kitbash like I did that Billboard. I only had one of the billboard, but I just can't bring msyelf to kitbash my complete Boulder Hill. :banghead:

I'm working on repainting and mask-swaping some of the figures. I have repainted Alex Sector (an extra figure I had; he came with the Boulder Hill) into looking more like a scientist and I paired him up with Wheeljack. I need to take better pics of him (as with the rest of my Alt/BT world). All in due time . . .
