She knows her alternators then :lol

Ravager is another good one, the cat, not the regular bot.

I don't know if my sarcasm detector is on the fritz, but the Mustang mold is one of the single most frustrating Alternators out there. If you get that one first you may never buy another.

Imo, Meister is a fantastic all-around mold. It looks great, has a complex, but not too frustrating transformation and good (and useful) articulation.

Best? In what way? Most awkward transformation perhaps? Least likely to fit together properly in either mode? If those are features you're looking for, Wheeljack would certainly be "best."

The original Subaru Impreza mold was pretty good, and the Mazda RX8 mold tweaked it to be a little better. The Jaguar Ravage mold is good, if maybe not quite as good as the Subarus and Mazdas. The Jeep mold is good. The Dodge Viper mold looks good but has severely hampered leg articulation. Prime (Dodge Ram?) sucked. Haven't got the Corvette, Honda, Acura, Scion or Ford GT molds so I can't comment on them.

It's not all that bad, besides what's wrong with simple tranformations?

I personally like "swindle" (jeep) to.

There's nothing wrong with simple transformations. In fact, the Mustang mold would have been much improved if it had a simple transformation. And it is that bad. It's pretty much the only figure in my collection that I flat out don't like transforming. I think that's a bad thing in a toy marketed as a Transformer.

I only had mine for 3 weeks before I sold it for another alternator. the most reason is it was more poseable, unlike the awesome G1 one.

I have Wheeljack also, and I wouldnt suggest that mold as a "first". Very difficult overly-complicated transformation. Tracks(Corvette) is a good starter TF in this line, even better though I think is Subaru Imprezza mold (Ricochet, Smokescreen) This mold is very posable, and very satisfying to transform. Grimlock/Wheeljack - no way for a first entry in this line.

Why would anyone get rid of a TF that is "awesome" 3 wks after getting it?

^^^ if you're talking about corvette ravage, definitely go for jazz/meister. corvette ravage is just a recolor of tracks minus the hard top plus the dog head.

Yes. You should get Jazz or Ravage.

Seriously, I don't think there's an answer to that. Neither figure has a problem that would make it a worse choice. Flip a coin: heads for Ravage, tails for Jazz. If you're happy with the result, great. If not, that tells you which one you'd prefer. :)
I'm just confused that you think something is so great when it wasn't good enough for you to keep.

Jazz. The RX-8 is awesome. Any of the versions are worth it.
