Well I recently got a Shockblast Alternator (as the title suggests) and have been having some issues with it. So I figured here would be the best place to see if others have had similar issues.

Basically, when going into robot mode, and pushing the head through hood (which sounds dirty, but it isnt), the hood keeps popping off and wont stay in place. I had a bit of trouble with Mesiter, but not as much. So I went to TRU and exchanged it, but it seems to be happeneing again. :banghead:

Any suggestions or ideas as to how this can be resolved?

    Thanks in advance.

I'm not sure there is a way to resolve it, other than being very slow and careful when pushing the head through the hood - or cutting off the ears.

Yeah, I have the same problem. Its just a case of easing it in gently (that sounds even dirtier, doesn't it?)
What I had a real problem with on this toy, and I've heard a few others say this this, is the arms keep popping out of the joint. It was particularly bad on mine with the right (hand) arm, so I put a tiny screw into the top of the arm & it seems to have done the job.

It's an extremely common problem...... happens on some examples of the BT version too.

The square cross-section of the head. conbined with the 'V' shape of the cutout and his 'ears' means almost no room to maneuver the head when flipping the bonnet through. (Unlike Meister who has a small bit of clearance each side)

The 'trick' is to hold the head in place, and 'thread' it through the cutout in the bonnet.

I ended up taking his head off and reassembling it when the bonnet was in place. Of course, now I can't get it to fit well on the joint :(

Well first and foremost, quick thank you to everyone who shared their 2 cents. i did try alot of that, but then decided to jus exchange it again. the 3rd one i got, the hood itself didnt always close all the way (like a smooth edge with other alternators) but it didnt pop off. so for the time being, im content.

but again, thank you to everyone.

That problem seems to plauge every Alt. Shockwave in existence. I fixed my hood by putting him in vehilce mode and messing with the hood until it snapped in place. Transforming to robot mode just requires you to fiddle wih the head as it goes though the hole. Twisting and pointing it straight up seems to help.

As for any arm problems, find some duct tape. Take a sliver and wrap it on the joint. That will make it thick enough to allow it to actually stick better to the joint. Be careful moving it though, it will still pop out.

I've occasionally had issues with both my RX8 Alternators, it's mostly a case of being careful and lining it up properly.

Yeah, mine does this too. The right arm tends to fall off constantly as well.

I usually keep Shocker's head in a "looking up" position to make the transformation go more smoothly.

I remember this happene\ing to me and I posted the same thread. I can't remember how I fixed it. They are all boxed up now. One day I will display everything. I don't remember it being as bad with Jazz/Meister.
