What if they remake rotf and dotm and improve them (leaving the first alone)?
I doubt they'd have the same cast, so instead have an older cast and have the films set way into the future, have mostly the same plots, but improve them and make them better?
Probably a stupid idea i know, but what are your thoughts?

For once we're in agreement. I'm all for it; first thing to do would be getting a decent writing team.

I would still like the same cast to return actualy, but i'd still have them remake the last 2 into better films, maybe have steven speilber direct it (hes perfect for having a sentimental film and still having great action), but having better improved plots, allthough the only thing that will stand against it is the budget, but like i said, a better plot, and even if its centered between 3 or atleast 2 main bots, its still an improvement.

Eh, don't really care. The movies are already made, that's all i've got to say.

If they delayed ROTF cause of the writer's strike, maybe it would have not sucked as much as it did.

But DOTM was the best, so I don't see a point of remaking any of them.

Yes! I would want a complete remake. But keep Spielberg away from them. If he gets too involved Sam might stick a pillar into Sentinels chest, killing Sentinel and breaking the pillar, returning Cybertron to wherever.

I'd say no. I'd rather just see a completely new film.

That said, it might be interesting to see a re-edit of the films, somewhat in the same vain of what happen with Highlander 2.

    good lord, no.

If anything, I'd want them to make the first movie better. But no, I don't need that, either. They should focus on new stuff, not revisiting old.

Remake the films? No. But I wouldn't mind an alternate continuation, where they just take the story in a different direction after a certain point. Like how Superman returns picked up from after Superman 2 went differently than Superman 3 and 4 did.

Except hopefully not quite as boring as Superman Returns.

This would allow them to reuse CGI models as well.

If we're remaking the movies to improve them, let's start with the first one... it needs it.

if I could change a few things, have a better death for megatron in DOTM, or better not change his alternative mode that was in ROTF, so instead of him go after jetfire optimus he flys away. obvious remove some of the dumb humour, those annoying small autobots in DOTM should not appear in DOTM.

Given my feelings on the sequel, I would love no other continuation more than a reboot/alternate take after TF1.

I would just change the plots mainly, try to remake the last 2 and wisely turn it into an octology (or how ever you call it), adding better a more improved story but still using the plots of rotf and/or dotm. Having in each film focusing on a different set of autobots (because we simply cant do that for every bot in one movie) like have one film focus on sideswipe and ironhide for example. and maybe even have one or two films having the cons as protagonists (remember, protagonists dont equal good guys, just them being the central characters).
