Perhaps. But next to the one that we got it looks like a damn Hot Toys sculpt.

One thing to keep in mind too re: saying it's "not great" - This thing is TINY.

That's pretty good for a limited-run resin cast I'd say.

its a step in the right direction but the face still looks not that great, but 10 times better than the botcon head

This looks a lot better, if only for one reason: it has the red fin. That automatically makes it better then the derpy headsculpt "Fun" Pub made.

This. and somehow I still want that improved head! Didn't take long did it for a nicer version to be made? what barely 3 weeks after Botcon ended?! :lol
also this 100. Im just thinking of using a junker Galaxy Force Excellion/ Hotshot head an slapping some gold paint and white face with blue eyes.

Because a gold head with a white face would match that blue and red mold? Personally, I think it'd be cool if they released the TF indivisually.

But, anyways, I'm liking what I see in that pic. Looks good, and I'd buy it.

Sorry, I should've been more clear... When someone makes a robotic replacement head, I'll be on board. While I understand why they made they head a human one, I'm not down with that aesthetic. To each his own. I personally like the comic book styling for Metalhawk.

Between this, the sword and the drone coming out, you can make your own custom metalhawk pretty easy.

Yea, my big thing is that, even with a robot head, the shell/human is a totoally different color scheme, so I'd rather just have the bot himself released seperately for the gold scheme.

I'm loving that art you posted though. I've wanted more IDW styled bots for a while now, so I'm totally on board with you there.

Looks nice, but I still would prefer a new head with a removable helmet. That way you can get a bigger human head and the helmet can have a ridiculously long red crest. I display my Transformers in robot mode so alt mode storage of the helmet is not important to me, but I can see how other fans may not like that.

Here's hoping Hasbro will use the FOC Shockwave mold and make Metalhawk.

I'd buy that even with a cutout piece of paper with that art for a head. :lol
