way back when I did the other DYnobots I knew I was going to use Swindle for Slag I just hadn't decided on the paint scheme hoping to not just go solid red and seem too close to Rollbar and not just a solid grey I think this is the one I'm gonna go with, but I'd like your opinions on this before I proceed

Thats an excellent color combination. I'm not a huge fan of Alternators Dinobots but that suits Slag very well. All he's really seeming to miss is his horns and a tail lol. I would much enjoy seeing this one done.

I think I recall seeing in a 4Wheeler magazine someone who drove an older (70's style) Jeep Wrangler with a paint scheme very similar to that.

I like it alot, keep it up!

The only thing I'd say change is make the front grille black.

That rules man! And the head is very close to th original. The hood piece even functions as the "backdrop" that the original Slag had. The color scheme is great too. If you can add some plus ups to make it more of a nod to the original (like the missiles you were mentioning) this would be a really great Alt incarnation for ol' Slaggy!

I was mentioning the seven verticle slats that make up the signature Jeep/Chrysler grille.

As for the grille guard, it would look good either chromed (as it is now), or a matte black for a faux black powder coat finish.
