So base on fellow board member's advice, I managed to tighten up the ultra loose Alt. Prime, he's much better now, and also up his cool factor, it's not a bad figure actually, pretty poseable. One possible improvement is if the grille piece can be rotated, it actually looks really cool, but alas, I don't have any loose pieces that would fit what it'd need to make it happen, so I'm posting my idea, in hope that other members knows something close to what I'm looking for to complete the kitbash.

    Enjoy,

The rotating part is my idea, the pin indicates where the pin goes

Is that rotating part for the waist or for the grill?

Sorry for not being clear, the rotating part would be the blue piece that connects the grille to the hood.

It looks like this might work..All you need to do is cut and add in a pin..it would swivel on the pin.

I was just thinink that I wished that part swiveled too. I don't know why Hasbro didn't do this in the first place. It would also be a nice homage to G1 prime in that they'd both have their truck grills at their waist.

Is there any way you can remove the part, flip it around, and take a pic to see what it would look like?

Is that pic of a modded Prime, or can he do that already? If he can look like that without modding, I don't see the need.

I would definitely do it if it needs modding, but I think that Magnus part you are thinking of is WAY too big and thick.

The picture is what the modded prime could look like, as it stands the prime doesn't look like that. Yeah, I think the part is too big as well, but I would like to study the mechanism, and see if you can be reproduced in a smaller scale

Hey Mods, I realize that this had probably turned into a kitbashing thread, so, if you guys feel the need to move it, please do so.

    With that said,

After trying unsuccessfully to use some LEGO parts to built the part that I needed, I figured out a simpler solution, while it requires disconnecting and reconnecting parts, I was happy with the results.

After taking everything apart to try my now failed experiment with the LEGO parts, before reassembling, I thought of using the wires from a paper clip, the part where is originally curved turned out to be the best section to use, it really holds the piece in place, I left extra metal on either side so that it's easy to remove and re-insert.

Truck mode, once you switch the piece back to the way it was, it still works perfectly.

Would love to have some feedback on this :)
