even though i think the robot mode sucks, i love Dodge Rams, and i recentyl started collecting the Alternators, and keeping them in box, so i think this one will look great in my small collection so far. so ill just keep it in box. when is this supposed to come out?

Is it possible to get the product code/assortment number? It's located in the lower right corner right above the "WARNING" bit.

Damn, Hasbro had to stretch the bubble to the full size of the base to fit Prime inside. I knew he was bigger than the other Alternators, but this helps put it into (some) perspective.

I'm actually looking forward to him, even though he's not the best Alternator. Sure, he could have been a different character. Yes, 20th Prime is practically an Alternator. But I like change, and I'm glad we're getting another vehicle that isn't a sports car this soon after Skids.

Besides, I reserve judgement until I see Prime properly transformed and his full range of articulation.

Hmm yeah, this coulda been somebody else, MP Prime is who I would use to lead these guys. If I had one that is. I await to see what they do with Megatron. Should be some tank model.

That or something where the exhaust pipe ends up on his arm for the cannon.

 

Looking good. It's nice to see just how big Prime is going to be. Also, I don't see why someone just couldn't call him Ginrai if some people are that unhappy with him being Prime. I, personally, like it... also looking at the box pic shows that the last coupld of pics have definently been mistransformed.

I like him as Prime. He looks good enough and it's different. My only complaint is the little pee-shooter that they gave him. So, I'll see what I can do about giving him a bigger and better gun... not to mention he'll be getting Wheeljack's sword do to the obvious resemblance to Laser Prime... which is probably one of the reasons that I really like the toy... it's just that different from what we normally get for our Prime's.

You know, looking over the pic again, I just noticed the leader badge on the box. Did any of the others have anything written in that location, because I don't keep my alts in package and don't remember if Sunstreaker or Skids had anything there.

i'm happy to have an alt prime. there's no decepticon masterpiece figure and i consider shockblast to be the alt. decepticon leader. he's no match for masterpiece prime, nice to have a prime that looks more like an alternator, not twice as tall as any decepticon.

 

will we ever see a die cast one??

 

Well, I hope so. I like the figure, but the finish on the truck looks too dull and plastic. After the fantastic solid shiny look of Alt Prowl and Skids in their alt modes, I was hoping future Alternators would also fare as well....Looks like it depends on the plastic color.

 

Fingers crossed, m8. If I'm getting married this year I won't be able to afford to import much.
