Anyone know where I can get one? Does Skids' head fit Primes' post??
It should, if not, I have a solution.
I think the Prowl head when having the horns removed looks way more like Ironhide if I am to be completely honest. Not sure if you've ever looked at the head without the horns.........just a suggestion. =)
Have a great day!
I had thought about, but the cost difference between the 2 just isn't worth it to me. I thought i saw a post on a nother board where someone had cast an Alt Ironhide head and was going to sell them, but I can't find it again.
I think this should fit...
I think it was sculptbot over at tfmaster, but I think he posts here too
What about Alt Skids head for Ironhide?
You might be talking about Valkfan over at Tfans.....he's done Ironhide, and he just finished Ratchet (for Jeep molds) his thread is in the C.R.A.K. forum.
They both look pretty cool too. I may get the Ratchet one myself.
Some people have bought his Classics CJ head, and have stated that they were pleased with it.
If not it's easy to modify it. I used one of their custom heads for Trailbreaker on the Ram mold. I did need to drill it to open the hole up some, but no big deal, really. Came out great!
Alt Prowl's head works pretty good for Ironhide if you cut off the crests and paint it red.
Well I did order one of his Ironhide heads, but the status of 1 in stock didn't change. Hopefully he still has it. Now I just have to figure out what I need to do in order to dye the blue parts black, and track down how to do the shoulder mod.
Well if he does have it in stock, plan on waiting at least a month before you receive it.
Yeah I read that, but that gives me plenty of time figure how to do the shoulder mod and to dye the blue pieces black.
Yup. I order mine 5 weeks ago, and still haven't recieved it.
He probably waits until he has so many orders before making a batch.
Here is a pic of my Ironhide resin head on the Scion mold. It works great on the Ram mold (OpsWasATruck did a great version of him with the head and the Ram). I know I have a closer pic of him on my PC somewhere. Once I find it I will post. I actually only have one more of them available (if you want it I promise I will ship it ) I sold about 60 of them and didn't have any complaints. They are solid white resin, so if you like the 2 part plastic ones that are out there, it may not be the way to go.
The paint job is shit so forgive that (I used acrylics which makes it look clumpy, before I discovered a few other tricks), and these were done more than a year ago. The heads are very smooth and paint up well. Ironhide was by far the best seller, followed closely by Cliffjumper.
PS..Thanks for throwing my name out there Rod!
I've been waiting for some heads for over 5 weeks myself......If I must make a comment is that I am not sure if I would buy from him again......I've tried e-mailing him a couple of time to check on the status of the order I have with him, and I can't receive the decency to say either hey, I'm running a little behind, or......
If the heads are great quality, fine, but customer service needs a huge improvement.
Yeah, I bought a trailbreaker head off of him on ebay. It took him a month to send it to me, when his auction clearly stated that he'd mail the TB head the friday after paying for the item. I paid on a tuesday...a month later I recieve the TB head on April 6th with a post office date of the 4th on the envelope. I just thing he's fucking lazy and waits until he has a huge amount of orders and then goes to the post office.
Great product, but shitty service.
I know what you mean.
