Random question... I remember seeing Alt Hound in an Argos catalogue a few years ago, I know it was definitely him as I remember wishing I wasn;t a poor student and could afford to get him at the time. However, most resources seem to say he was released in some parts of Europe but never here in the UK. Anyone know if he was or wasn't? Anyone bought him from Argos? Cheers
Ah, he was in the argos book some years ago when it was first released but every time you went to purchase him they tried to palm you off with swindle
Short answer: No. Longer answer: (Speculation follows) They may have come close to releasing it. In early 2006 the Smyths toy chain were selling Euro boxed Alt Hounds, as soon as they hit the shelves they were at half price. They may have come from Italy, where Hound had a full release, or they may have come from Hasbro U.K. *IF* they came from Hasbro U.K. it may have been because their order was cut short... or they may have made a deliberate choice to replace Hound with Swindle. Forbidden Planet also had a listing for Alt Hound at around the same point in time, one which suggested they would not be obtaining it from the usual sources. IIRC, Hound never showed up at Forbidden Planet.
