Well, let's just say I was bestowed with the honor of creating an Arcee alternator. Well, I had an idea when I accepted the commission, well, it is totally different now.

All the Alts are to "manly" of builds to fit the sleek, sexy, style that is Arcee. So having such a great alt mode of a 53 Corvette, the bot mode needs to be just as...um....curvy....

My approach to this is going to be very much like the new Alternity Megs and Convoy. To really capture Arcee, she needs a petite body. This will mean I am going to have to sleek up the bot mode while still have the car portions that the model has. I will have to construct a section under the hood that will have a double hinge joint for the fenders to slide forward and then allow the mid section of the grill to stay put while the sections beside the headlights connect. This also means I am going to have to make the arms fold underneath the seats (much like HA BB). I am going to have to slim down ALL the limbs. Then to top it off, I will have the hold fold up and into two sections to resemble the G1 Arcee much more....

So let's see how this goes!!!

    Thanks for watching...

Are you actually using an Alternity figure as your base?

No..I am using a Jazz Alternator, but I am going to build it so it transforms like an alternity figure....The hinge fenders and such..

Wow! :O That '53 Vette makes a great earth-altmode for Arcee :) . & this is actually a commission? I think you're gonna have a hard time letting her go... :lol

Pretty cool, I like these re-shell projects. I've been searching hobby stores lately for a 56 Vette body to re-shell an alternator of mine after I finish some of the projects on my table. Am I the only one who thinks 10 customs ahead of the one I'm working on?

I am really looking forward to more re-shells. Ever since I did that Jazz, I can't wait to do more....and, I think we are all in the same boat about thinking to far ahead...hahah..that is why we have such a stock pile...

Good luck with this one! Re-shells are a tough cookie. I just recently started one of my own and they are really brain aching. Looks good so far!

WOW, ambitious, but I'm sure it's going to be mind blowing when done!

I don't envy you man, you got a really really hard project on your hands.

Arcee especially the way you talking about doing her is going to be tough.

Especially since you want her to be curvy. every arcee custom I've ever seen IMO looked pretty awful because they didn't seem to look right in terms of proportions.

I wish you luck and I'll be keeping tabs on this one for sure. :thumb
