Seeing as how this "All-Stars" line is something akin to Marvel's "Ultimate" line, what did everyone think of the first issue of All-Star Batman and Robin?

Personally, I loved every second of it. Miller does a great job, as always, and Jim Lee's work resonates perfectly with the story. The final page, albeit not what I would expect from the Batman nowadays, is perfect for this "re-imagining." I'm definitely putting this book on my pull list. :thumb

I was going to go to the comic store today to pick this up, along with some other titles, but got sidetracked. I'm definately going to pick it up this Friday.

The impression that I seem to be getting is that this fits in with the universe of DKR, Year One, and quite likely SPAWN/BATMAN and DKSA.

This is the first DC I've picked up since getting back into comics, I liked it a fair bit. Dark, not too dark, and, STOP THE PRESS! who is that?! Vicki Vale.

    Two Thumbs up here.

It was great! On every page the art was spectacular (especially the first few pages). It's probably the best comic I picked up this week.
