    so it looks like if i leave off at the last stand of the wreckers tpb, i can pick up with the new transformers comic at #1 then?

    i like comics because of the cover art work.

    tpb are easier to read but i think id like to get the ongoing in comic if possible.

    ill have to stay on top of things for sure. : )

    ... wait, then ill still need to add bumblebee, ironhide and drift, huh. wow.

    Bumblebee, Ironhide and Drift all serve as companions to the main ongoing series, but don't necessarily have to be read to follow the continuity of the ongoing.

    I like to pretend Bumblebee didn't happen. It hurt my eyes so bad. And It had some major show time for a great decepticon. I wish they would redo the art but it will never happen.

    Yes, the Prowl Spotlight is the only comic part of IDWs G1 continuity that havn't been included in a TPB, so you will have to get that one as a loose issue.
    The Drift miniseries was released as a trade very recently.

    It should be worth noting that close to half of the spotlight issues take place before Infiltration, including all from volume 1, a couple from All Hail Megatron Vol. 3, and the other volumes.

    Also Stormbringer takes place roughly simultaniously with Infiltration so if you want you can reverse their usual order and it won't hurt the story at all. Also beware that Stormbringer is by far the most 'preachy' of all the writing in the IDW verse. For some reasn Furman was on a major pacisfism philosophy high and really shoves it down your throat. If you aren't a pacifist yourself, it may be difficult to digest.

    i forgot about revelations. i was a bit lost when i started all hail megatron. i need to go reread devastation and make sure i finished it. lol.

    in which tpb does megatron kick primes A** and take the matrix? i guess it must be revelations then?

    No, it happens "off panel" (ie. between stories, only seen in flashback during AHM).
