    Check out the preview here!

Wish there were words to go with all those pretty pictures.

Edit: Just noticed the 'Takara' and 'Tomy' stores right next to each other, across from TRU. Heh.

Worship? Not quite, they're stunned, confused, almost excited. Read the "Focus on Decepticons" issue, it covers that bit with the Constructicons. In fact, that's the single best page of the book. :D

So far, I love it. The art's amazing. The dialog (from the focus on Decepticons preview) is surprisingly good too. I can't wait to see how the story plays out, but I'd also be perfectly happy if the entire series was the Decepticons blowing stuff up. ~_^

I still wanna know why they went with the f16 seekers instead of the F22 models. I thought this was suppose to be consistant

    Actually, it is consistent.
If you look at the bottom panel of the first page all three Seekers are dressed in their F-22 armor.
I'm not sure of the reason, but I see no continuity error yet.

It's deliberate and there is supposed to be an explanation in the story for the upgrade. Note the F-16 models are the Masterpiece Starscream/Skywarp designs. :D

i remember seeing them basically drawing the MP seeker mold in the comic preview though, and those are f 15s.

(edit: ok, if theres a story point for the change thats cool. i prefer f15 designs anyway)

speaking of which, mini rant: please stop drawing the toys. i mean, i remember seeing comic art of optimus prime with a fake grill under the truck as he transforms. that just screams lazy to me. cant make a new (or old)design so just draw the MP toy? it doesnt make sense. i mean, the reason the toy has a fake grill is cause they cant make it transform just like optimus does, so the fake part facilitates an accurate portrayal of both modes, while fudging the process of one to another to get around physical limitations. but if optimus were real, he wouldnt make himself a fake grill. Like it wasn't used in transformation, but he randomly decided that his robot mode should have obvious and recognizable truck parts? so he made a second grill to go on his tummy? i know im overthiniking this, but that just bothered me. the seekers not so much, but it reminded me of that >> /rant, feel free to ignore me

I'm pretty excited for this series, given that the bad guys are finally winning. What worries me is the potential that was thrown away in the revelation arc to accomodaye this series

QFT seconded! Just check how EJ Su or Don draws IDW Optimus Transforming, there are no problems there.

That said, I loved Guido' stlye back at DW in MTMTE and Energon - I had no problems there with his 'cartoony' style. But it just doesn't go for a realistic series like the 'ion' stories IDW has been running so long. Even with EJ's realistic drawings, I felt TFs modelled straight after their toy forms like Sixshot stack out like a sore thumb.

To be honest, I like the change from the realistic style. It always looked overly complicated and cluttered, the expressions on TFs looked pretty distorted and they always looked very faded.

I really like the more cartoony style, as it helps fit in with the rest of the comic world, as well as looking very awesome. It also looks like it has higher production values, because it just looks more professional and finished.
