Now I am sure plenty of Xbox 360 gamers knew of the upcoming Alien Hominid release for Xbox live, but today at Joystiq there are more details.

    Source Link

And then you can head over to the website to read even more about the details of the award system, and see some trophies: http://www.alienhominid.com/leaderboards.html

I for one can't wait and will be definitely downloading this on Weds.

Bleh, it's way, way, way too fucking hard to even think about paying money for again. it was bad enough on the original XBox. I'm all for supporting small indy developers, but the game should at least be rewarding or fun.

Info came out yesterday in a Pod cast. This might be a great game, but I can still find it NEW at a few stores hidden with other games that didnt sell, for even less than the 800 MS point, and Used even cheaper.

I am still waiting for CastleVania:SotN which hasn't seen a release for a long time(till Rondo is released later in the year), and Worms which is just pure fun Multiplayer.

I woudl admit this is alot better than Paperboy and Root Beer Tapper.

Worms just got passed MS's QA, so it's gonna be with us "soon".

A few weeks most likely. Bah.

I might pick it up. Is going to be as hard as the original version?

I got it when it came out on the XBox, and it was ridiculously hard.
I think it was in the last batch of games I traded in, and probably won't pick it up again.

Never played the console releases. I downloaded the demo and, while enjoyable, it's pretty damn hard. I'd like a little more fun to go with my hair pulling difficulty.

I got Alien Hominid earlier and it's extremely unforgiving and hardcore :(

IGN has news posted that SWOS is due to be released in the summer, and it's a direct copy of the Amiga 96/97 version which is widely considered to be the best SWOS EVER :)

Damn I never knew the game was that hard! I never played it but it looked cute and fun so I was going to snag the Live version. After everything I have read here now I am not so sure.

I DL'd it, played it, got killed, respawned and got shot immediately, and deleted it. Ridiculous game.
Ooo. If they're doing Sensible Software stuff, I SO hope they do Chaos Engine. That game was the mutt's nuts.

Chaos Engine was a Bitmap Brothers (Speedball, Xenon, Cadaver, Gods, Magic Pockets) title.

Cannon Fodder and Megalomania were Sensible's only other notable titles outside of the footy games.

Ahhh. Now I remember; I was thinking of Cannon Fodder, but meant Chaos Engine.
Damn, loved every single one of the Bitmap brothers games you just namechecked. In fact, I believe I still own them all.

I'm kind of dissapointed I got this earlier. I haven't had much trouble with the difficulty (although I've only made it to the 2nd stage (2-1). I got it since a friend also got it with our intentions to play through it together. We quickly found out that you can only play the main game with someone offline and not over Live killing the whole reason we got it.
