Correct me if I am wrong...
I thought Dr. Wu said that almost all of 3rd Party Companies are connected somehow with Keith? Yet, their quality vary...

I think it is not the matter of which company, but which product you get. Because sometimes, big names deliver fluke too...

I personally hope Alien Attack and Unique Toys hit homerun because that means more and more Bayformers (let's admit that many of it have good design) will come.

He probably owns some factories that he rents to them.

That doesn't sound plausible. Keith owns a factory (possibly more than one), so that aspect is correct; however, beyond that not all 3P companies answer up to Keith in one way or another. It wouldn't even make sense as nearly all 3P companies have such different quality. Certain companies may use a Keith factory to produce their figure (like Spinout, which was produced by Keith), but those companies have to QC their own product to ensure it matches spec and Keith's factory is just the producer of said product/line. Beyond that Keith does his own line of products obviously and manages those lines in house, but he's not a one house for all producer of 3P products.

Most owners of the various 3P companies are very large personalities and come to producing these toys with money to burn and are quite competitive people. This makes obvious sense as you have to be all of these things in order to stay at the top of your game in the business world. The point being I sincerely doubt that Keith produces for a competitor on the scale of someone like FansToys. I can't speak to where FT actually has their figures produced, but I doubt the owner of FT would go that route as he would be having his figures produced by a direct competitor.

The 3P business world is actually pretty fascinating. I'm not kidding when I say most of the owners of these companies come from completely different businesses where they've already made their money. They do toys simply as a hobby. This doesn't mean they don't care about the product they produce obviously, but they don't do this as their main gig. I know we all take this world deadly serious, but they only do this like some of us would collect... well... action figures. As a side thing in other words.

That said, rules of business still apply. Coke is not going to have Pepsi producing its product. Nike isn't going to have Reebok making its shoes. That sort of thinking very much applies to 3P. A guy like Spinout is coming from a very small business concern that simply needed a producer to make their product. FT doesn't need Keith to produce their products. This is an assumption but hopefully an educated one.

For sure. Np. I get it. I have thick skin. That's why I joked back ;-) Thanks for clearing that up. It was news to me. Good to know. I wasn't collecting in that era. Working out of reach or not attainable cool toy culture.

That looks fantastic! I'm assuming that's the final product there and it's amazing looking.

There's a small sheen on the red plastic but other than that it's a perfect bright Ferrari red. I can't wait to have this thing in hand. Release day can't come quick enough.

2007 Barricade is de next MPM apparently, so that one can be crossed off the list.
(Assuming HasTak doesn’t decide to scrap the line after all the flak MPM-4 got)

At least I'm forewarned about it, and it won't be a surprise now when my wife starts fawning over them. :lol
