Read the first book not thrilled with it. So many charcters under used Prowl mixed with G1 & Animated. Even though, I'd like to read this.

"We'll learn some stuff about the 13" Hmmm... Okay, I like the sound of that..but glad he's staying focused on Optimus and Megs for the 2nd novel....he has another book planned for the "13" Very interesting!! It's a good time to be a TF fan :D .. I know I'm ready to order when available :thumb

Can't wait to read it since it's part of the Prime canon.

I liked the first book until it went into that spiral of wrap up. It started so strong too. Hopefully this one stays consistent throughout now that it doesn't have to cover so much at once.

Good interview, as I suspected Irvine had left out descriptions of the character so as to leave the reader to imagine what incarnations they were (when I read it I saw WFC Optimus and ROTF Megatron). Liked that Irvine also indicated we'll visit the colonies, I thought that was the most logical setting for another prequel.

I love that bit about the descriptions. Let's hasbro use it as they see fit (which seems the case with prime) and further proves the difference between a literary work, and a visual medium like the game.

You can use literary work as a jumping off point for almost anything, whereas a visual medium is locked into a certain aesthetic. This just further goes to show hasbro knows what they are doing, and irvine is a master at his craft. So instead of trukk not munky, the new one can be Book not Game. xD

Wasn't impressed with Exodus, TBH...the sheer number of plot/character contradictions from one chapter to the next, typos, flubs and outright errors, and the general lack of cohesive narrative left me more than a tad disappointed once I'd struggled to the end. Not that I was expecting a literary masterpiece, but 'potboiler' pretty much defined the whole experience for me.

And the whole 'Exodus/WFC/Prime' continuity schtick just leaves me facepalming.

Sorry, Mr. Irvine - no sale here.

I just hope its more cohesive, and better researched.

And no more silly crap like Six Lasers over Cybertron! I still :wtf:  over that one...

Oh, you mean that reference that was actively plucked from an episode of "Beast Wars"? Yeah, no research there. ¬_¬

I enjoyed the first, so I'll probably pick this one up too. However, I'll probably wait for paperback, as I don't think I'm willing to pay upwards to $50 for a hardback shipped to me in Japan :(

Eh, TF comics books and their continuity mean absolutely nothing to me, but I could see why you guys would be excited about the original 13.

I like to support more literary works and books in general for TFs, so I'll be getting this book. The first one was a decent read. It'll be more expansion of Hasbro's new fiction for the WfC/Prime universes. There's interest for us to know more there.

And I think there'd definitely be interest to see another book focusing on the 13!
