Anyone else playing it? Very enjoyable so far, I love the episodic set up. Makes it feel like I'm playing a TV show. A little bit of Silent Hill mixed with 24.

I just completed the first chapter and it's cliffhanger-plot twisty. Anyone else picking up a flash light and stopping the Taken?

Been tempted but I'm not too big a fan of horror type stuff so I've kinda held off. If it was more suspense/thriller/drama type stuff n less evil spirits haunting n possessing n junk id be all over it

I bought it, but i'm just waiting for it while it ships. The wait is killing me though, i've been looking forward to this game for a long time, and it sounds as good as i'd hoped.

I grabbed the Limited Edition. They've made case look like a book with the DVD cases inside along with a additional book called "The Alan Wake Files"
Also includes the soundtrack and extract content disc including a peice of avatar gear, exclusive in-game audio commentary and hints by Remedy a couple of themes.

I played the first episodes and loved it so far. The lip-syncing is a bit off and the camera angle takes a bit getting use to, but so far it's been good.

Also the first bit of additional DLC is coming July 27th: Alan Wake DLC called 'The Signal,' coming July 27 -- Joystiq

I never checked them out, will have a look at them soon.

All six episodes should be available on the dashboard as of now, and the Machinima youtube channel has them all too.
Just a prequel to the game, starring a different protagonist, but ending just as the game begins.

Just had a look and they are up for download.
I'll probably try and grab them this weekend as it'll be about 1Gb to get all 6 episodes and that would just kill my connection just now. Kinda wish they had been included in the Limited Edition.

    Thanks for pointing them out.

Just finished chapter 4. I love the cliffhangers in this game. I really think they captured the 'episodic' feel of doing a video as though it were a TV show.

Its on my list, but I just picked up Red Dead and have War for Cybertron and MGS: Peacewalker coming up among other titles backlogged. Might take me a bit to get it.

Got it on release. Played it through in a couple of days, very impressed. Although gameplay wise there might not be too much new (aside from a nice combat mechanic), this is now the bar that storytelling in games has to reach. :D
