Slept a total of two hours last night. As I scrabbled onto the computer I was greeted with this email, which made all of my crankiness vanish: "Thank you for shopping at AmiAmi. The products you ordered are all in stock: Gutto-kuru Figure Collection 46: Gunbuster "NorikoTakya" Action Figure" It isn't often that Gunbuster fans get a new toy so this is a day of celebration for me. Even though I'm sorely sleep-deprived I will get through the day with hard work and guts!
Excitement! Amiami is waiting for a ton of other stuff to come into stock for me, unfortunately, so I will have to wait for my Noriko fix.
I had to cancel mine last week. I'm just spending too much money on toys that should be going towards my new house. Randy
Got Noriko today. She's nicely detailed, has tons of useful articulation (the hips for example look like they have little movement, but they have a very wide range and it's cleverly designed so it's mostly hidden) and lots of extra faces & hands, even an extra shirt & removable sleeves. Pretty much looks exactly how she did in promo pics. Yet I'm oddly a little underwhelmed by it. For one she seems bigger than I'm comfortable with - sort of halfway between a revoltech/Figma and a 12" doll. Maybe its just because I have no other human figures of that size. Also the joints all seem rather 'soft', which causes her to be a little wobbly. Anyway, wah wah wah they finally made a nice looking Noriko figure so shut up.
She's too beautiful to be sullied by my shit cell phone, so pics will have to wait until I can get home and use my shit camera. :/
After fiddling with the figure...I LOVE it. I guess I was just having a bad day at work. Posing her is fantastic, with very natural looking lines. Wonderful figure. My only complaint is the shirt/coat. they just don't fit well on mine ( or i havent figured out a trick yet) so i got flustered and left her stripped.
How do the alt clothes work? Like the space uniform? Is it alt upper arms? MOAR PICS WITH SPACE COSTUME.
