It seems Gunbuster is enjoying a resurgence in the realm of toys and merchandise, so I thought I might put up a thread for those interested :) . Be they new or old, Gokin or not, feel free to discuss any and all Gunbuster related merch here!

Coming soon from CM's: "Gutto Kuru" Noriko Takaya!

And likewise, coming from Sen-ti-nel as part of their Riobot line, Buster Machine numeber 7 (Nono):

I'm down for a Noriko to stand on the shoulders of my SOC GB. What's with the hips though? They look static. Not much use for the knee and ankle articulation if the hips can't move.

I'll also use this thread to toss my penny into the wishing well for a SRC Gunbuster.

Noriko's hips will be poseable, no worries there. CM's leg design involves recessed ball joints to try and create a "seamless" ... er... crotch. It does occasionally result in kind of awkward looking ... er... nethers, I guess? It's a similar design to the recent Figma KOS-MOS.

I'm at work otherwise I'd google up some images of their past figure's nether regions :lol

The hips will be able to move. To some degree at least.

    Haha. She should.

I'm just blown away that we get our first (mass market) posable Noriko and Nono figures announced in the same weekend. I'm stoked.

I've never owned a figure by Sentinel, but they already have like 8 things announced now that I want, most of them revealed at Wonderfest last weekend. :lol

Cool - I know exactly what kind you mean.

Since they are including extra torsos, they should add one with spring-loaded jubblies that work in the same way a bobble-head does. :lol

Because my Jedi mind trick worked! :p
To give you an update on your Gunbuster, and just how loved it is, I spent the weekend packing up everything in my toy room in preparation of converting it to the nursery. Everything but Gunbuster, who stands proudly and defiantly at the top of the empty toy shelf. Can't figure out yet where to move it to, but it sure as hell aint getting packed away.

Well, CM's has done figures with squishable ... uh... assets in the GK line in the past.

Not sure about Nono, since she's from Sentinel and the only figs I've had from them in the past were pretty small - the 5-6" range. CM's Gutto Kuru figs are usually in the 8" range.

Noriko and Nono are musts for me. Noriko should be around the 9000 yen range, no? This is going to get pricey... but I will save up for them WITH HARD WORK AND GUTS!!!

BTW, everyone in this thread should PM Empir3 and tell him to watch Gunbuster. My wife and I want our DVDs back.

Speaking of the DVD, is Gunbuster out of print? I can't seem to find it for sale outside of Ebay.

Pretty sure it's been out of print. You can still find decent prices on the newest set though.
