If you thought the Roger Ebert review was scathing, you might want to shield your eyes from this one

I still say Skids and Mudflap are more the stereotypical uncool white boy trying to act hard and gangsta than a negative racial portrayal of black people. And the faces. These are the same faces everyone here took to mean they were retarded redneck country bumpkin inbreds, until this whole "racist" thing I don't recall anyone saying that they looked like blackface or anything like that.

As for the action, I never really had that much of an issue following things. Hell, I thought the fight scenes were much much better in this one.

Same goes for the humor, there were some really funny moments in this film.

Super ouch! It could be that this movie sucks ,but I'll let you know after I see it in IMAX tomorrow @ 9:00. Last time I saw the movie three times. That's a lot for me. This time we'll see if I can bear another bad movie just to see Transformers in live action.

Just as the haters had predicted Summer of 2007 after Transformers cleaned up?

I thought it would simply be more of the same stuff from Transformers 1. We'll see tonight. Critics bashed Lucas all the time...

I was kind of dreading seeing this movie tomorrow out of obligation, but for the first time in months I'm actually kind of excited. After all of these reviews I can't wait to see just how awful it really is.

But...I liked the goofy-as-asterisk Turturro and the sneaking giant robots...and Bumblepee was kind of stupidly funny too, I have to admit it. If that's the kind of thing that the reviewer didn't like, then I think I'll like ROTF.

Except when they're good - then they're endlessly linked to, quoted, used in commercials, printed on DVD covers, etc. But yeah, beyond that, they're just useless personal opinions that no one should ever listen to or take seriously.

    Funny how that works. :)

It is a bit odd that the only critics people ever like are the ones that agree with them.

I mean in general. It doesn't matter what they think of TF2 its what you think. If you like it you like it if you don't you don't that's all it matters.

I enjoyed the movie, but I agree with a lot of what this guy has to say. You can enjoy it all you want, but there's really no denying the mediocrity. The Batman and Robin comparison is apt. I loved how over the top that movie was. This is in much the same tradition.

I'd also compare it to some of the Star Wars prequels. Those were mediocre and over the top, but still did well at the Box Office.

It is much more likely that the comics are an afterthought, they need to struggle to explain why BB's voice is back, since it isn't explained in the movie.

Movie guys do what they want, then they pass their script along to the comic book guys and say "here, fill the holes we made."

I get that they explained it in the comics, but most people who see this movie probably don't even know that they made comics about ROTF.
